My take is should tell regardless of CO or otherwise. If the child is mature enough to go through process of audition/trials/interviews on their own then they deserve to know the results. Kids these days are not as blur as previous gens.

The exception would be if the child had previously instructed you not to reveal till after psle.

And for context, I did. Both good and bad news. But I also did emphasise regardless of outcome, psle is still top priority.

What if don't get any CO? What's next? So what should we continue to do to ensure that even if we lose the DSA game, we won't lose the PSLE game?

Yes there was 1 disappointment but it wasn't his first choice, so it was bruised ego more than disappointment for him.

Anyway, we are still working hard on PSLE together even though he has gotten the CO he wants.

No, just this one. The other one didn't even get an interview. However, this is his first choice. So, we are happy.

Totally Agree. I still remembered my DD screaming happily the moment I told her that she got verbal offer. It is the school that she wants.
After that she is back to study mode and diligently do her schoolworks and revising.
She still very sad and moody when she thought she was not doing well for her Prelim.

I believe you should tell as soon as possible. As this is a team sport, everyone in his community will be talking about it soon. Not nice if he gets to know about it not from parents

Yes, we shared with DS and showed him all the email correspondence on shortlisted for trials and interview; CO and rejections. We involved him 100% so that he knew hardwork may or may not arrive at the desirable outcome. I think he has learnt that life is full of uncertainties in the process of DSA.
