would appreciate if anyone who has knowledge / experience for NYGH art elective program can share on the selection criteria at sec 1 level. my daughter is interested to DSA into NYGH (via a sports domain) but she also has interest in art so i would like to find out what are her chances of getting into the AEP if she does make it to NYGH. i understand there is a selection test and a portfolio interview in Dec. my daughter is currently in her pri sch art club, and was in NAFA junior art program, but she has not actively done up any portfolio. thank you!

It is strange that NYGH has no DSA for VA when it offers AEP. I wonder why.

MGS has no DSA for dance, but they have a few dance CCA. Not so strange after all..

We should not put SOTA as one of the 3 choices since MOE website says to apply to SOTA or Sports school directly?

I don’t think the DSA form will have SOTA in the drop-down list of schools, so u don’t need to worry about inadvertently choosing that.

If u wish to apply to SOTA, follow the instructions here:

                  The maximum 3 slots
                  EXCLUDE

                  (SOTA + SG Sports School).

Yes, I can confirm (at least from last year) that SOTA is separate from MOE’s DSA limit of 3 schools. Note also that SOTA uses an earlier deadline and there are procedural steps to complete (e.g. registering for access to their TA Portal etc.). Not difficult but the earlier deadline threw us off as we were not paying attention and almost missed submitting our DS’ application in time.
