      Here is my humble assessment of the TOP math tuition specialists that target math heuristics type of questions


      Ammiel wan academy

      • 2 branches - Sin Ming and Novena.
      • Large class size. Can be up to 20 students in classroom.
      • Reasonable fees.
      • Focus on mainstream math training. Mixed ability classes.
      • Uses the 'cognitive conceptual approach' and 'concept builder' to help students understand the syllabus.
      • Featured in Straits Times, Business Times and SME 500.

      Nicklebee math

      • 3 branches - Bishan, Bukit Timah and Sengkang.
      • Small class size. 4 students to 8 students in a session.
      • Fees are expensive.
      • Focus on advanced math training. Conducts advanced psle math masterclasses that target the 4-mark and 5-mark type of challenging psle math questions.
      • Teaches their own techniques called : 'unitary method' and 'C3PO math'. Also includes some methods from gifted education programme math and olympiad math.
      • Featured in Straits Times, Sunday Times, The New Paper, 958FM and Channel 8.

      Concept math

      • Moderate class size. Max 12 students in a session. Founder's class may have more students.
