ME time today, planning to explore my new neighbourhood but ended up accompanying dd to polyclinic as she has a big mouth ulcer

      Bonjela works for us.
      Heals pretty quickly too.

It's a known brand of oral treatments aimed to relieve the pain of mouth ulcers and denture sores.

We find that Bonjela is quite ineffective. We use it if the ulcer is just about starting, but our go-to solution is the salt water or salt. If the ulcer is not really developed yet, drinking 凉茶 helps too.
For me is Oracort E. Only can be prescribe by doctor as it contains a little amount of steroid. NExt time for ulcer, ask the doc for Oracort E.
Note: Read that it's it not suitable for infection type of ulcer.

We have a bottle of 西瓜霜 which I find rather effective.

when dd went to see the doc in BB polyclinic for her mouth ulcers, she was prescribed Oracort E. I would prefer to self medicate using 西瓜霜

Powder? Do they have lozenges? I used the lozenges for sore throat when we lived in China. There are different brands though, and some were nicer than others! I never saw the powder, but I guess I wasn't looking for anything for ulcers.

not too sure about lozenges...might have seen it at watsons but not very sure.
it's very effective...kids will administer themselves once they have ulcer.

it's FRIDAY! what's everyone doing today?

I also have Yunnan White Powder at home. I understand it can cure mouth ulcers as well, though I've not read the contraindications in detail.

IMO, the best antidote is take a tablespoonful of Cod Liver Oil before going to bed. Ds had an ulcer last week, but refused to apply Bonjela on the sore. (PS: Bonjela is ineffective. It only acts as a cooling 'shield'). So I fed him w a tbsp of orange-flavoured CLO. The ulcer disappeared the very next morning.
