i had my hair cut very short.. Sally Yeh's hairstyle in the 80s about an inch or more only and swept.side way from the side parting (side parting not even obvious actually )together with fringe..that was from my very long hair to a sudden shortest..whole person shrank to a petite size. needless to say cried at night la. was stress with exam so went to the extreme. but i always remember my childhood friend once told me that short hair suited me more as it accentuate my facial feature..but now too fat already la..need to cover up liao šŸ˜‚
With my short hair, I don't even need to comb after wash or before going out šŸ™‚

The weather is hot today !

:skeptical: No offence, but even my short haired cat needed to be brushed after showering (when I did have pets). Maybe you don't NEED to, but it will look different after brushing. I get very annoyed when my boys don't brush their hair. I even bought a detangler for them!

No worries
Am an old auntie ...
Maybe it is just my family... dad is balding but still combs so carefully every morning... being groomed is very important to my parents. No need make up, but must be tidy.

I had that too! And also from long to short! I do like Robin Wright's hair in House of Cards.

You have plenty of time now! I always think I should enjoy what I can have. I doubt I will keep long hair past a certain age, so I decided to go all out with long hair now that my kids are bigger. You can keep hair off you neck with a hairband if you like.

I think if you find a hairdresser you are comfortable with, it can be good to go back to the same person because he or she can follow the health condition of your hair.
I must be past your \"certain age\" by now! I don't think I will every grow my hair out again as I really find it irritating when it touches the back of my neck, even when it's too short to tie up. I'm very unfussy about hairdressers - I just join the queue and take whoever is assigned. I only use Head & Shoulders as it's the only shampoo that doesn't make my scalp itch, for some reason, and I haven't conditioned it in years as I find that it gets cut off so often! My husband will be very against my growing out my hair if it means I spend more time on it, especially when he wants to go somewhere on the spur of the moment!

:scratchhead: not sure why you cannot leave the house at the spur of the moment with long hair, but agree that short hair does look better at a certain age.

It's because he seemed to often say \"let's go ...\" when I was going to wash my hair, or I'd just washed my hair and needed to dry it (don't like going out with wet hair when it's long - very cold!), or I would want to get back earlier in order to wash my hair...

Long hair gets entangled easily?
It drops easier than short hair?
I can't stand my hair stuck at the back of my neck due to sweat. So my hair is above my neck
with long hair, you see a lot on the floor and it is irritating.
with short hair, more maintenance is required as it tends to go out of shape.
the weather is so hot and humid of late. i can't stand hair sticking to back of my neck either....but the ends of my hair at my neck tends to grow upwards...so i can't cut too short.

i used to cut zoe tay's hairstyle in her very first drama as Bobo. so VERY cool šŸ†’ but every 3 weeks i had to visit the hairstylist. back then, i was younger and face was slimmer. now i won't dare to cut that hairstyle.
