I think the breathlessness is probably lack of sufficient exercise and activity! I've noticed it in myself this past year.
That is for sure. I have not been walking as much since Covid started. Just went to renew my 1st aid cert last weekend. After 5 rounds of CPR I was winded. Next day I had muscle aches all over. Super unfit.

I'm sorry that Esteema and others have such a bad experience with Omicron. Hope she gets better quickly.

But please don't frighten yourself others unduly - many people have very mild cases of Omicron and some are asymptomatic. Among my husband and colleagues who have caught it in recent weeks, the main complaints have been sore throat, slight cough, some runny nose, mild fever, fatigue (not everyone got all of these). Most felt well after about 3 days even if they still tested positive for a few more days.
MKS, Liew & slmkhoo- Thk u all for yr well wishes & advices.

Indeed, think the pain probably comes fr coughing coz it’s only this morning I woke up coughing tt it comes on, o’wise no pain. So, it’s the muscle exerting itself.

Thankfully the rest of my family don’t catch it as I isolate in my room. When DH tested positive last Sunday, I was negative all the way till Fri. In fact, it surprises me coz DH is always the stronger one, rarely falling ill. But thro’out 7 days, he had only a momentous alarm of coughing blood one early night, but he quickly heal thereafter with just a night’s fever, sore throat & he slept alot. Maybe he got smug & didn’t wear his mask the 4th night coz it was very uncomfortable sleeping & breathing thro the mask.

I tested negative last Tues & was out collecting all the ART kits for the family. When I discovered Orasyl, it was the best thing coz cld see the immediate effects for DH & he stoped coughing & slept thro the night. Now, we’re running out of it & pharmacies are also out of stock. Had to order online.

My symptoms seems to take longer to heal & I had diahorea in addition to all the coughing, hard sneezes, fever, sore throat, phlegmy, ulcers, headaches & bodyaches. I guess everyone’s body reacts differently. At least I shld be thankful I don’t need oxygen infusion as I’m not grabbling with shortness of breath or sth worst.

I really don’t wish for anyone to go thro this, esp those vulnerable ones & those with pre-existing conditions, but I guess this virus probably signals the trail coming to an end?

Sorry to hear that you are infected and fighting symptoms that definitely sound uncomfortable. I am fighting a different Covid war! Reporting. So many reports to submit and manpower shortage. Was telling DH that soon the uninfected will be the minority. DH said that his colleague in Korea said that over there, if you have not yes been infected, that means you are anti-social or have no friends.

It is really all over. Parent pass to kids, Grandparents pass to kids. Classmates pass to each other. School going kids pass to family. And one funny one, DH's colleague's son tried to pull a fast one to skip school. He drew the 2nd line on the ART kit and told the father he tested positive.

Kids seem to bounce back much faster. Niece was infected. Fever for a days, slept for 1 day a bit of cough and runny nose and 5th day she tested negative already. Some kids exhibited stomach flu symptoms before testing positive. So maybe in some cases the virus does affect the gut. Adults seem to suffer a multitude of symptoms and after effects.

Anyways, keep yourself hydrated, rest well, stay mentally positive ( nowadays cannot just say stay positive 😓 )

          Speedy recovery yah.
Thank you for your well wishes.

Stay hydrated all my waking time, clearing my phlegm every waking time, gargle & sleep again.

Agree, this is covid war! Everyone directly or inside fighting it - all armed with masks, sanitizers, & disinfectant; nurses/doc doing all they can to treat affected vulnerable patients; contact tracers, allied volunteers tracking positive cases; workers filling up ART kits; volunteers helping to buy groceries for those who hv no family help; frontliners manning the telegram 14/7 to guide affected residents & some of them are full time doctors too! I can imagine the strain it causes for those ‘spared’ fr the virus coz some hv to fill the gap & step up.

DH was suppose to work with alternating Team A & B, but he says nowadays, so many catching covid, it’s almost back to like CB days. In time to come, think some companies may not need big office spaces but just shared spaces or docking stations. Saves slot of rental but human interactions will suffer.

dd2 had her 2nd dose few days ago and I haven't got dd1 for her booster yet. She had her 2nd dose early Sep. Should I bring her for booster, I keep asking myself? Last mth when we talked, she mentioned she seems to feel abit more of breathlessness when she climb up stairs..
            Aiyo! 不要拖了!

If only DS not going for T&F competition in Apr, he wld hv gotten his booster. He’s training every week, so can’t stop to rest before competition done. I may regret my advice to him back then, when he asks if he shld quit T&F, since there’s no points to be earned so he can get on with the booster. Back then, I was simply advising he don’t drop sth halfway & to persevere with it. Today, I’m just praying hard he don’t catch it fr me.

Same same. I have been delaying DS's booster cos he wants to continue with soccer CCA but the school tryouts keep getting postponed week after week! Think I have booked and changed his booster dates like 4/5 times already.

No points but it helps them fulfill the activity portion of CAS according to DS. 🤷

It’s really going into battle right?

This covid war, gotta watch front & back - help our kids to achieve their goals, watch when right time to strength them with booster & ensure all ‘battle equipment’ (masks, sanitizers, instructions to keep hygiene practices high) geared up.

                Mum’s the best!

Sorry to hear you are infected. Wishing you speedy recovery. Take care. My friends found manuka honey helpful when infected. Not sure if you will like give it a try.

                      Cool,
Thank you for yr well wishes & affirmation of use of Manuka Honey. I’ve always believed in Manuka but don’t know why didn’t think of it till yday reminded by a KSP frd & cheered by her pics of her cutie kitten. Must be my brain filled up with cloudiness fr all those phlegm & worked into my sensitive sinuses. My eyes kept smarting. Taking ano spoonful of Manuka after lunch, gurgling & then will sleep again. Tis the only time I give myself reason to be ‘lazy’ not think or do anything else.

You take care too! Safe safe & stay strong & healthy! 🙏🏻
