Got home 15 minutes ago. Me day! Isetan private sale, lunch with aunt and sis, window shop at raffles city and then drinks/dinner with ex-colleagues. Pooped!

      pooped but very SHIOK right?

this past week and the next no chance to go out..son having exams and return home right after paper. mum and I are taking turns to renovate/paint our places :faint: ...because it's been 10 years already.
at first, I wanted to apply for BTO...but suddenly can't bear to move to another place. since decided to stay put, will get place painted right after daughter's last paper.

We also don't have plans to move. And major renovation would be too expensive so we change things we can and progressively. Wall papered living area and replace sofa last year. Added coffee table this year. At year end, DD wants to re-paint her room. Thinking of over hauling kitchen in 2 years.

        bb mom,

new flats are so small now…even for 5 room. worse thing is bto are empty shells and would need a lot of money to renovate. after having common toilet renovated, I realized we do not have to sell this place…just do progressive renovation and it would be as good as new with the sentimental feel. the heater was just changed. so now left with painting.

            zbear,

it’s not surprising…because even gurmit singh has his 3rd one when his first 2 are already in their early teens. my gynae told me some couples are experiencing loneliness when older kids grow up, so they have another child to fill in the gap.

I’m certainly not one of those to feel up loneliness by having another kid. I would just pick up a hobby. Cannot imagine having to go through PSLE again donkey years later…

Progressive renovation or changing pieces of furniture makes a big change already. I would like to renovate the toilets too but scared of causing leaks. :yikes:

no way will I go through the process of starting all over again.
12 years from now, my kids will be in their mid 20s.

common toilet leaked downstairs, so I have to hack and replace the tiles and toilet bowl...I paid only $250 for a new 'look'. if my master bed room toilet gives the same problem, I don't mind the renovation...of course the cleaning up is a torture...no pain no gain.

                      Me too.

Life in Singapore is simply too tough n bringing another child to this world is like giving her a life of stress.

That is my personal opinion, I am sure others beg to differ.

@ Zbear, lol yes… Bit crazy I know… I ask myself that same question everyday.

Only I panick for my sons exam, he himself so COOL!
Hubbie who went ACS and Raffles can’t really understand why my DS is like that…
Only if boys face white with blond hair, he can go and be a surfer or something… So chilled out he don’t care.
