Me Time!

after the revision and CA itself, i think we need a break from school.Imami:
I dont find the one week holidays very \"holiday\" leh... More like giving us some breathing space rather than a real break.
although it will not be a relaxed one since SA1 schedule is already uploaded, there will be revision WITHOUT having to attend school. some play time during the mid day and Friday off.
It's really scary. Time flies soooo fast.
After CA is over, it's time to prepare for SA1? Soon it will be June holidays again. Where has time gone to???

son had canine tooth extraction on wed...he is still unwell today. brought him to see the GP this morning...told me the area is inflammed. it didn't occur to me or i would have brought him to see the GP yesterday so that he didn't have to suffer :stupid: poor boy. -

Was he advised to rinse his mouth with warm salt water? Try that every time he has a tooth extraction or any ulcer etc in his mouth. Did the GP give antibiotics?

The GP gave a 5 day course of antibiotics to bring down the swelling. Salt water will be painful. Son told me he feels very much better now. Quite upset with the dentist…the canine tooth was embedded in the gum and caused pain when extracted.

Ouch! I am procrastinating bringing DD to a specialist for an x-ray to find her 2 missing teeth. Both her top canines are missing. 1 could be impacted as the school dental nurse could feel the tooth in her gum but the other one is totally nowhere to be found in the area where it should have grown.

I googled some images of and treatment for impacted canines and am totally freaked now. :scared: -

I felt so heartache for my son after the GP showed me the swelling.

No, salt water is not painful. Not like putting salt on an ulcer! Dissolve 1 tsp of salt in half cup of warm water and hold in the mouth for a while (half a minute-1 minute). It's a very good antiseptic.
