      Long hair gets entangled easily?
It drops easier than short hair?
I can’t stand my hair stuck at the back of my neck due to sweat. So my hair is above my neck

Lunch is a prob bec it is just too much to cook just for myself
I totally feel you! Even when I do cook for my boys, I still find it troublesome to cook for myself. When I do make an effort to cook for myself, I like eggs with fresh tomato, raw garlic and a green salad with lots of olive oil. I will have that with any starch in the fridge - leftover rice or bread. Once a month I will also make salmon soup and ba zhen tang for myself.

I think it depends on the individual's hair condition, but long hair surely needs more TLC. But short hair needs frequent cutting and hair products to maintain shape, which means you do need to go to the hairdresser more frequently, and to use a clarifying shampoo once a week.

I have the long-short debate with myself often! I had long hair from my teens to 30s, and liked the fact that I only had to get it cut twice a year (I trimmed my own fringe). But my husband found it a nuisance because he had to wait while I washed and dried it, especially if he didn't give me enough notice that we were going somewhere! Since having my younger girl, it's been short, and like SL, I can't stand it on my neck, so it's always above my neck. It's much quicker to wash and dry (and I don't use any special stuff on it), and I go to one of the super-quick (and cheap) hair cutting places every 6-8 wks, so overall I guess I save time and money. Although I sometimes think about having long hair again, I can't face the growing-out phase when it will be on my neck!

With my short hair, I don't even need to comb after wash or before going out πŸ™‚

I always think I should enjoy what I can have. I doubt I will keep long hair past a certain age, so I decided to go all out with long hair now that my kids are bigger. You can keep hair off you neck with a hairband if you like.

I think if you find a hairdresser you are comfortable with, it can be good to go back to the same person because he or she can follow the health condition of your hair.

:skeptical: No offence, but even my short haired cat needed to be brushed after showering (when I did have pets). Maybe you don't NEED to, but it will look different after brushing. I get very annoyed when my boys don't brush their hair. I even bought a detangler for them!

I have a stupid question for gals with long hair - how do you sleep with long hair?

                      Thanks, ladies!!

MKS, how do you bun it loosely? You mean very high up or what?

I have had hair of varying lengths over the years, from crop to mid back. I just alternate between short and long hair. When I sleep alone I spread it up so I don't lie on it, but with DH my hair is in danger zone. :scared: I had it in a loose plait for a while, but recently cut it shorter and am doing what slmkhoo said, to one side. Wondering if there is a better way?

Starlight, long hair is surely time consuming. The fact that my hair is at its longest since the kids are born attest to the fact that they are more independent now. πŸ˜‚ There was a point in time when my hair was shorter than DH's.

yes if bun then need be high at top. twist the hair in circular motion and put a rubber band to hold. at home daytime can put the rubber band tighter to hold the bun. at night just one circle, basically just hold rubber band and 'cap' on the bun. to me nothing beats having long hair. daytime i let down to protect sun at neck and back. at home all tied up so no hair touching my neck. no need worry on cutting and maintaining of hair. rebond 2times a year. use the loreal conditioner, hair can be quite smooth le.
