DD told me, because she got B3 for O Level Chinese, the HOD for Chinese do not want her and other classmates in same situation to take Higher Chinese??!! They must drop the subject by tomorrow?
Hod threatened to give DD and classmates very hard life if they insist on doing Higher Chinese??!!
I know the school did terribly for the Higher Chinese last year. But must our kids of this year bear the consequences?
I'm trying to find out more from fellow parents, whether such a threat was really made. I'm so angry !! -
This is so weird. DS1 also got B3 for Normal Chinese but school did not ask him to drop. Instead, principal advised them to try and he got B3 for Higher Chinese. I am surprised AHS has different point of view. DS2 is having PSLE this year and I am considering AHS… I have to re-consider now.

To drop higher chinese at O level means to give up the 2 bonus points . This is too costly.
Suggest you speak to HOD your concern personally to ensure no misunderstanding. -
Hi,
My DS also got B3 for his normal Chinese. HOD said if dun want to drop then must work harder.
Now I need to find a tuition centre for him in the East. Any good recommendation, pls PM me? Thanks -
My DS also got B3 in o level Chinese. His teacher asked him to drop Higher Chinese. I am very angry. As a Chinese teacher, how can she want him to drop higher Chinese rather than help him to improve Chinese?!
