Personally I have come across and seen it.
This sounds cheap and good. Can you post a picture of this gadget? What is the name of the shop?Sweet Joy:
[quote=\"Mr Winston\"]Hey guys!
I just joined just for this thread as me and my better half been looking into getting a robotic vacuum recently as we saw quite a few of our friends using it plus our cats really giving us a headache on this. Fur everywhere
I asked a few friends and got offered a few options like iRobot and Roomba that are around $300-$600 :censored:
Managed to find one when strolling around Funan called Robomop. Not bad lah it's around $60++ and it came with some washable refill. The guy there Ben was quite nice as well and explained to me how it works and what not. I just brought it home charged it up and let it run around my house for awhile. It did manage to clean my floor quite well and it's soft so didn't scratch anything or any of my furniture. My cats seem to like playing with it too!
Quite value for money so just another good option if you guys wanna check it out! Can find it at Funan just next to Pastamania!
Cheers!
It definitely can't compare to those vacuum robots, that it why it is $300-600 as compared to about $50-60.
It is like comparing apples and oranges.
Of course, it is definitely up to the individual on their preference of cleaning bots

There's no name to the shop cause it's just a booth in the middle of pastamania and a camera shop. There's a wooden floor with two of them roaming around. Think the company is Scansupply? The one that brings it in to Singapore. There's a website where you can get the other peripherals like the refill all this. http://www.scan-supply.net/robomop/
I'm still at work so can't take a picture but it doesn't look like that eh Scang! Think that's maybe older or different one. Mine has like a mesh and it's soft so can flip around and get to corners I think (sorry don't remember the sales talk  )
I admit it's quite a straight forward and simple idea but it really is quite effective is but I've only used it for a few days so no complaints so far! (plus gives me a bit more time with Fifa 13 and the missus can't say anything :boogie: )
They got a facebook page as well here! https://www.facebook.com/RoboMopSingapore

Wao... really tks alot for the sharing. Now i really can rest n relax liao. No more mopping n vacuum.. hehe.. tks man. -
you might be able to google something of interest too. When I was assessing the avc’s, i remember seeing a youtube video of someone comparing the iclebo, irobot and the samsung navibot. in the video, someone has a odd-shaped room, with a camera installed at a high location, then pour i think some coloured powder on the whole floor, then took turns to let the 3 avc’s clean up the place. when they go past, the powder will be sucked up by the avc’s so it’s quite obvious which one is better or worse…

The robomop looks like a auto-broom. Since it is quite cheap, i will probably try it out. I had a irobot previously, but it decided to 离家出走 a few weeks ago by going thru the gap under my gate.
i am sourcing for another robot now. cant decide which one to buy. -

Sad to hear that your Roomba had decided to \"take Off\" on its own..The robomop looks like a auto-broom. Since it is quite cheap, i will probably try it out. I had a irobot previously, but it decided to 离家出走 a few weeks ago by going thru the gap under my gate.

Deciding on which Robotic Cleaner to go for is indeed a headache. If you need something that can vacuum and wet-wipe mop, can go for the Iclebo Arte ($749) or the LG Roboking square 626X ($858)
If the Roomba had worked well for you and perhaps using virtual walls can prevent it from losing its way, Can consider the Roomba 650 ($599)
If you are keen om getting one, I am sure you can always arrange for a demonstration or some advice to see which models best suit your needs. Would do our utmost to assist.
