Okay, back to topic about IP .....
Okay, back to topic about IP ......
For the batch of student doing 6 yr IP, if in 2009, they were in Year4. So now in 2010 should be in Year5, right ?
So now this batch in 2010:
a) they start Year 5 later waiting for their counterparts from O Levels joining them OR
b) they start first, then those coming from O Levels gotta catch up OR
c) both sets of students are taught differently ?
Anyone knows ?
Thanks -

25hourmaid:
so how come apek and maid always go OT ?VitoRelax:
O I C. I also noticed that everytime Apek & maid ask/answer questions, it will end up being OT
Last OT post here, Yes, Apek and Maid have tendency to go OT in threads and Apek is free to OT in threads started by the maid, but definitely a No, No for threads started by others, so if you want to OT, go to those threads started by me.

The Year 5 students already in the IP normally help out in orientation and pre-orientation tasks. When the ‘new’ Year 5 students come in, they will go through a brief orientation programme.
Over the next year or so, they will catch up. Available data shows that as far as A-level results are concerned, those who entered at Y5 tend to be as good as or even better than those from earlier stages of the IP.
However, that’s probably because they’ve been through the pressure of competitive exams, so it’s a reflection of exam-skills mindset.
There’s actually no research so far that says IPs are better in any way. -
My dd is sec 2 this year in an autonomous sec sch and I going to let her try the admission test to Temasek JC and Victoria JC for next year sec 3 IP programme.
Can someone advise the difficulty level of the ip entrance test
of Temasek Jc and Victoria JC? Is any preparation required? Any advice?
Thank you in advance for your advices. -

Why not trying out for others- NYGH, RGS? Their IP path leads you to better JCs like RI(JC) and HCI(college section)My dd is sec 2 this year in an autonomous sec sch and I going to let her try the admission test to Temasek JC and Victoria JC for next year sec 3 IP programme.

xxjustakidxx:
Are the fees in RGS, RI, HCI & NYGH the same ?
RGS, RI, NYGH, HCI are all independent schools. NJC, DHS, RVHS are government aided.verykiasu2010:
for NYPS girls to get into NYGH under affiliation scheme, the minimum T-score must be 250 and above
To maintain the affiliation is to help continue the culture and values of the Nanyang family of schools.
NYGH was founded as a non-government school which became a government aided school, part of the funding is from donors, they have their board of governors while RGS / RI is a purely government school -

RGS, RI, NJC are 100% government school, though it may be IP school. That is why RGPS has no affiliation to RGSS.
NYGH though is IP but is government aided - meaning the clan association still has a say in the funding and the direction of the school
I have no idea on RV & DHS -
Based on this link, it says that RI is an Independent School.
