my family and i have been regularly drinking wheatgrass. i usually put carrots, green apples, celery and wheatgrass in my ordinary juicer. abit ignorant, i didn’t know we need a special juicer for wheatgrass.

Not sure about the typical wheatgrass only kind of juicer, my multi-purpose one uses the cold-pressed method, so it helps to preserve the goodness of the veggie/fruit juice and reduce contamination by pesticide.

Perhaps I should have used the inverted commas for 'cold-pressed'. Sorry for the confusion

Generally, the juicers in the market extract juice from fruit/vegi using these 2 methods: 1) using blades (with centrifugal juicers, those typically sold off the shelves of Best Denki, Harvey Norman...) 2) by crushing/ grinding (with gear juicers)

The gear juicers are the more expensive ones.

I must try to juice wheatgrass again. Read somewhere that it is good for those with high blood pressure or have too high salt intake (typical Sinagporeans' problem due to our diet). But unfortunately, can't find them in the market stalls anymore. :?:

hi all thanks for the recommendation!!! yes, we have got one now FINALLY! thanks to you guys! Now my FIL is on a wheat grass high…haha somehow he likes the taste shudder


anyways, does the ready-made wheat grass juice we see at supermarket the same as those juice? are the so-called vitamins still there??
