Ok tks, what u think which sch most likely can i go in

I'm not too sure about CHS IP as no COP has been released yet (1st year having IP program) but with a score of 255 I'd think u would have a decent chance πŸ™‚ btw, is 255 inclusive of HCL? Did u take HCL and did u get any bonus points for that? Cos that would be helpful for SAP schools...
Anyway, quite a high chance of getting into RVHS if u don't get CHS. RVHS COP has been in the range of 251-254 since 2009 so I should think u stand a good chance.
3rd to 6th choices are all very safe and if u don't get first two you'll definitely make it into your third choice πŸ™‚
Good luck! Hope u get into your dream school πŸ™‚

No need to retain now. That was previous year system.

He took PSLE this year 😞 the system still exist 😞 Just ask around, quite a few kids retain in all the pri school.
It's getting more and more difficult to accept the results. Students who were performing so much lesser than her has outperformed her tremendously. What is wrong? Is it just exam luck? Should I get the papers to be assessed?

It's difficult but still have to accept.
What or where went wrong? Nobody knows...appealing may lead to something worse...so accept our lot and move on. Luck just was not with us then...we have done our best and so has the children.

My daughter who was a consistent performer since P1 and was always on school top 3 until p4 and top 1 in P5 only scored 252 + 2. She works so hard every year sacrificing even her play time and holidays. Her score was very shocking to all of us as we all surely expected her to score 260 + 2 and to be among school top 3 as many students this year worked extremely hard. It took us 3 days to recover from this shock and I keep consoling myself telling that I want to appeal. My daughter keeps telling she did her exams well. My dd's mother tongue is Tamil. I am a layman when it comes to T score calculation.

1. Will my dd's tamil t-score be affected if the bottom most ranked girl or boy scored quite low?.
2. Is there any use of appealing as someone here said that ' what if something opposite happens' ?.
Have heard similar stories over the years.
Your dd has done well.
Ask her to go read the success story of last year top O level student in Singapore.
The student also got 250 plus for her psle, did not go to those renowned IP schs, but she got 10 A1s and top the O level.
For those who work hard, many unexpected doors will open for them.

Depends on how badly they failed. If it is an U grade (score below 20) for a subject, the child will be retained.

Reported in MOE website 97.6% assessed to be suitable to proceed to secondary school.

So 3A and 1U will also need to be retained? Am guessing the T-score may be in the 3 figure range.

Heard from the teachers,if one gets an U will retain regardless of your T score 😞

Will COPs of HCI, NJC, RVHS, RI and DHS go up or down?

Here are the background information of their PLSE COP (Lower), Upper and Median. I use EESIS (COP of top 3%) as the reference.

Note: I got the pupil numers, Lower, Upper and Median of each school from MOE and EESIS from this forum.

Opinion 1: The COPs to these top IP schools will go up as
1) There are more pupils than last year (but it is comparable to 2009/2010).
2) There is higher EESIS this year

Opinion 2: The COPs to some of these top IP schools maight go down as there are most IP schools and they may more or less attract some of the top scorers (T-score>260)

What is your opinion?

Hi all

I am new to this forum. My DD has scored 235 in her PSLE this year. I am staying in West and was in confused state to list the schools.
Could you please help if this list will work out?

1. Crescent (COP - 243) - as my DD is longing for this school, I want to give a try for it…
2. Swiss cottage (COP - 235)
3. Common wealth (COP - 236)
4. Clementi Town (229)
