      MotherHen:
DD got 269 + 3. Highest in her class is 280.

Well done MotherHen and dd !

In my ds GE class, all those >80% ones score 26++ and above, those below 80% ones score 25++, so there is good reason why COs are offer to those > 80%.

YEs it is certainly not the end for not scoring well in PSLE.

Life's a long journey ahead and PSLE is just one of the many tests in life.

Don't be despair because of this setback. There're many before you who did not do well but are leading a successful life. :rahrah:

          Sad Person:
I am very sad that i got low marks.....:(

I am sorry to learn about your predicament. :grphug: What's done is done, so don't brood over it for too long. This is just one of the many exams you need to take in life, and perhaps the most insignificant. You can still bounce back and do well in sec school, jc/poly and uni. I have seen enough real life examples of kids who didn't do well in PSLE but went on to do extremely well in Sec school. As long as you put your mind to it, you can do it.

I have 6 news today on PSLE scores of friends’ kids. 5 are expected (better than prelims) and only 1 is shockingly below prelim.

Kid only obtained a 16x with an E in maths and C in Eng.

This kid’s maths was consistently around the 60s in school and so the E is a totally unacceptable score. She was also doing quite well in her Eng but a C score also making everyone scratching their heads.

Anybody knows how to reconfirm PSLE scores as we do not think the results are correct? It maybe possible to fall and slip over a paper but then over 2 or 3 papers at one go?

This year maths paper was generally not as tough. Another friend who has a spec child managed a B for her maths and scored a respectable 180+. Given that this child has a very linear brain and could score a B, it sort of tells about the paper was manageable and that makes the score of E for the above child even more unacceptable.

Mental block during the day itself. Only the kid him/herself knew his/her own condition.

Mental can block for one day but to block for another 2 to 3 days? Really strange cos most kids in singapore are trained to be exam-taking machines. Many would have suffered mental block in being creative but to take exams should be like an auto gear reflex.

Child herself cant believe her eyes with a score of 160+ and was devastated. She suffered no extraordinary family problems or illnesses during the exam period. After her exams, her feedback to my friend was \"OK\" and went ahead to play happily.

This yr the principal at my girl’s school didn’t announce the top scorer and didn’t mention how many % abv 250 (like in previous years). She did however named those who got abv 250 so the parents hv to count and do the maths.

                      MeKiasuLeh:
DS = 265+2 (3A* + 1A). For a boy who is not into books until a week before PSLE, was still on computer before, during and after PLSE, I have absolutely no complain. My other half always screamed \"must study hard\" while I always countered \"must maintain balance\". I am glad I won.

School top student = 270+3; a neighbour school in the east. Last year's top student = 269+3.

Congrats to all. And regardless of your expectations and aspirations, look ahead and not back and move on because in sec school we all start on a clean slate; PSLE & T-score is history.
Care to share which subject did he score 'A' ? Thanks.
