PSLE 2012 - Results Discussion

Yes, jtoh. RI has been his dream school (as well as mine). He was expecting a better result but to get 263 is already a good one. Thank you for your view! We will want to give RI a shot too! Just wasn’t sure if it is safer than just going for Hwa Chong as 1st choice.

So what you got 272, in my eyes you are a ZERO in humbelness, and graciousness.janet_lee88:
My son didn't do very well...we were caught off guard.
He has 203. Need time to get over it.
Seriously I don't know what happened, but can't ask him.
Don't worry I got 272 only.. so sad...
I saw yr another post in PSLE posting results, of how sad you feel abt yr score.

If you think that your older son had benefitted from SJI's education, then perhaps you could ask your younger son if he wants to benefit from the same education too.Hi, I am new to this forum.
Currently, I have 2 sons.
My elder son, who is in Sec 2 (2012) is currently studying in SJI. He got a PSLE cutoff of 244 in 2010.
Today, I received my younger son's PSLE results and to my pleasant surprise, he got 255. I am now facing a dilemma on whether I should enrol my younger son into SJI with my older son
or find a better school. I asked him for his opinion but he does not seem to have thought about the school he wants.
It is also notable that SJI fees are quite expensive as it is an indep school ($340 per month for Year 2013) and that they are moving to Bishan ITE as a holding site
while they upgrade their Malcolm Road campus in 2014. Thoughts?
With 255 you can probably try for SJI IP Programme as well. There are very generous MOE Financial Assistance available too.

263 is very good. Just go for RI. Good luck! -
Hi,
I need some advice. DS got 250+1.
Would this be enough for an IP programme? Any school to recommend?
It seems 250+1 is good enough for many good schools e.g. SJI, VS, CHS, ACS(I) under the O-level track, but falls short of the cut-off point for IP programme A-Level track. So near, yet so far…
Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, anyone knows the cut off marks for EESIS award for this year? It is usually given to the top 3% and think last year is 260.

Hi everyone,
I thought my tears have dried by now…but reading all your posts made me cry again, bcos I can sense your sincerity.
It is so hard to take…but I never blamed my son one single bit.
He has worked very very hard.
Thank you. -

I just started a new thread on this here - http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=45998
If parents could help fill in the scores we will be able to find out the EESIS COP this year. -

Hi, since it is your DS's dream school. Just go for it. :rahrah: And he could appeal and stand a chance since it is the first choice. HCI should be a safe second choice judging from past years COP. And dun forget there are more IP choices this year so the COP might not increase so much.
