Teachers I know all say PSLE results is confirmed on 22 Nov.

Or 23rd Nov according to MOE.

MOE website still says tentatively 22-26 Nov 2012. Where do you get the date? :?
So disappointment with this kind of publication in the MOE website! In the past it has always be a confirm date , that is the 3rd Thursday of Nov so those who need to apply leave from work could always do so. They expect everyone to take sudden urgent leave is it?

MOE customer service staff told me those dates are given to prepare parents for results to be released...something like be ready...but I told the officer to check if she can give me a more definite date...22-26 nov, something like waiting for delivery man at home from 1-5pm :faint: she came back to me...said either 22 or 23 Nov.

I think they always state a period rather than an exact date until just a few days before the actual date. I guess it's to prevent people from making a fuss if they can't make the Thursday for some reason. But in the past, it's almost always been on the Thursday, so most people assume that that will be the case again barring unforeseen circumstances.

This year I have problem applying for leave too. Hope they update a date asap.

All these press releases were dated just a few days before the release date. I'm sure there will be a similar one for 2012 a few days before this year's release date, but it's still about 3 weeks away. From my memory, certainly last year's release date was initially also stated as a range of several days, and the actual date was only confirmed a few days before the release date.

I have gone thru PSLE in the past too and I don't remember it is that way. My friend could plan a trip too in 2008 to fly off the next day after collecting the result as I can still remember clearly. It can never be a few days matter.

That requires sufficient leave, furthermore cancel leave also need to provide reason and approval. Why go thru such hassle ... Also why they cover weekend when nobody work at MOE and why 26Nov a Monday and when nobody work the day before? :rotflmao: What is the point and create such big inconvenience for most? I urge them update the website quickly to give everyone a peace of mind.
