err… find it strange that anyone would wanna read books under the hot sun…


Even Real physical books… in Black and white… it’s such a pain… the contrast simply hurts…

Hahah. Actually I had exactly that experience with my iPad. Brought kids to the pool and even sitting in the shade, I had trouble reading from my iPad. So I still tend to stick to my kindle for outdoor reading.


Limlim, the Kindle does not have pure black and white contrast. The background on the kindle screen is a bit, greyish or beigy, so it cuts out a lot of glare. The screen too is not reflective so it is easier on the eyes. But reading under bright hot sun whether with a physical book or Kindle is not good for the eyes.

Normally the eyesight doesn't change much after 18yo rite....?

That's why the lasik clinic don't not recommend the operation for under 18.. after that, the eyesight should be quite stable, according to the lasik doctor/nurse..

it will get worst if u spend too much time on com. i did my lasik 4 yr ago. i find that my eyesight not as good as 2 yr back. some time is due to dryness. i play alot on com too.

Now I'm afraid my DD's eyesight will get worse after spending too much time on iPad. She already has 200+ astigmatism
