      Avoid?

Thought this would be one of the choice buy right now, if you can force down the price because no one else would be buying. If it's going to be a rental unit, those renting it (expats) aren't likely to be that well informed.

expats not likely to be aware especially if they just arrive and looking for a place to stay.

But they are always free to shift if they found out later. Unless you signed like 2 years contract.

But if you sign long term contact, means you can't sell if there is an attractive offer.

        in the recent report http://business.asiaone.com/news/outlook-dims-singapore-inc-economy-moonwalks

and with the upcoming US presidential election that may not look promising to Asia and forecast that this coming recession is going to be as \"hard\" as the last previous ones. Still safe to buy property?

hubby mentioned that if Trump wins, he will create more jobs for Americans to stay in the country.
with the slowdown, many expats would not be getting attractive packages. his former australian boss was recalled back to sydney even though there is a contract signed here for 2 years...all expenses paid including rental condo at bukit timah.

Economy is unpredictable , esp these near 3 yrs . Up and down …the Up din really last long enough too

Buy with caution , ensure u have sufficient reserve and can afford to pay mortgages if there is zero rental for months…

Am thinking to buy additional property but always put off by the ABSD… however, I still see many people taking the plunge and pay the ABSD. How to justify to oneself in paying the ABSD?

I guess so long as you think that you have got a good bargain on the unit (by referring to the trend/historical pricing of the development) and think that the total cost is worth and acceptable to you then can plunge ba.

Thought experts always say Buy when other fear 😓

in 2009, most said it would be a hard and long one
but did not turn out that way
Guess in short, no one can really predict future
