There are IP students from RI, HCI, who drop out and go to poly. I think poly looks at school results.sorry, just curious again...

I wonder is it common that IP student dropout? Do they dropout voluntarily or forced out by the school?

I always have this idea that once you are in IP, so long you pass every year, even if its a borderline pass, you will continue to the next year until A level. Someone please tell me my understanding is correct

Thats a good point. I am also interested to know if unity123 understanding is correct.

From a kind hearted soul perspective, I would believe the school will keep them and help them to make it to A level successfully instead of forcing them out of the school.

Can i understand further - when you say they are NOT allowed... do you mean the Ps dont allow or MOE dont allow you to register? Txs.
IP students are not allowed to sit for 0-level as a private candiate. If unsure whether IP is suitable, best is to take the 0-level route and proceed to jc later.
Literally, there's no difference. -
Cedar girl’s school’s COP has risen 10 points over the last decade. I wonder any of you have noticed that. What is the reason for the rise? I have my reasons and answers to that but I’ll hear from all of you first.

Standing order from MOE, with the rare permission from principals, school candiates are not allowed to sit for more than 3 subjects. -

I think if a student only has borderline pass every yr, it is too risky for him to go on with IP. What if he fails A level? The school most likely will advise him to transfer to O level course. Some may need to transfer to another non-IP sch.
