Great news for Parents; just heard this great news from my niece's CMA centre when I was enquiring.
For Parents keen on trying this programme for your kids, CMA is having a FREE TRIAL lesson promotion now till 26 Nov 2016.
Parents just need to register for your Free Trial Lesson via this link: http://trial.cma.edu.sg/
NOTE: You have to scroll ALL the way DOWN to register.
Understand that the child must be:
-At least of 4years of age
-Able to write numbers 0 to 9; it's ok if the child tends to write in mirror-image or the number '8' becomes a infinity sign
-Know the Number Sequence from 0 to 9
Registration for the Free Trial Lesson closes on 26 Nov 2016, and the Free Trial Lesson must be redeemed by 23 Dec 2016 as most CMA centres will be closed from 24th Dec 2016.
Hope this helps Parents here who are keen to try this programme!

Hi TDmum,

Iβm looking for people to share their experiences with the CMA exams.
What do we expect during the CMA exam? Which grade was your childβs first exam? Why does the child need to go for an exam? -

WHAT: The child will be given 10minutes to complete 10 Abacus Questions and 3 minutes to complete 10 Mental Questions. If the child was also recommended to take the Aural Mental Test, he/she would be tested with 3 questions; of which 2 must be correct to pass the test.
WHICH GRADE: Understand that a child is eligible for the CMA exams once he/she starts on Grade 13 (descending order). However, for my niece, the teacher only recommended the exam for her when she was at Grade 12 for both Abacus and Mental because Grade 13 is too far easy a challenge for any CMA students.
WHY: Honestly, it's to challenge the child. My niece tends to take her own sweet time to complete her class work and homework, so when the teacher set a timer for her to complete her work, it really helps in pushing her to complete the sums faster. But the key challenge from the tests is to complete all the questions Accurately in the Fastest speed possible, AND still have time to Check the answers.
At my niece's centre, the teachers also usually recommend the tests for students who are keen on joining the annual CMA Competition during the June School Holidays as it serves as a form of practice for the students.
Of course, if we're talking about from CMA point of view, the centre stands to earn money as well since they are a business? @@ The exam is optional for students, and is not free, but my family and I feel that it is still a worthy investment since my niece wanted to challenge herself. -
Hi! Interested to enrol my daughter @ Pasir Ris branch. Any referral code to share?
