All About Primary Schools' Balloting History

hi ryes,
For free check using school as the focal point (can't remember the term), go to http://www.elite.com.sg/. That way, you save a lot of $2.10.

I have checked using my in-law's address in Serangoon and found it not too accurate too. SLA's defined it as between 1 - 2 km but the map in elite.com.sg showed the school to be within 1km ie. within the blue circle. Bottom line, such maps serve as good general guide but before making major decisions, such as doing PV or buying a house near the school, check with the school or use the SLA's e-services to confirm before committing especially for borderline cases. Dun make a decision only to regret just to save a few dollars.hi ryes,

Hi, there's another free service for checking on distance.. maybe can compare both..
http://www.streetdb.com/
Key in the Postal code on the search menu bar, when the Results is shown, click on the link, and when the map is launch, on the Right bottom of map, under Amenity Search, click under Education Institution. and the distance between the school and home will be shown.
Hope it helps.

This is more accurate than the previous few links but still not 100% eg. for Cherry Gardens Condo, it is within 1km to both MSHS & PLMGS based on SLA but using this service, it is 0.88km to PLMGS but 1.08km to MSHS. Same advice, check with school or SLA for confirmation especially for borderline cases. Nonetheless, this is still a great 'free' tool. Do take note that within the same development, some blocks may be within 1km and some may be more than 1km. So block no. very important.

Yes, I am aware. Thanks for pointing it out. For the SLA service, they are based on block number's distance to school. -
Chief KS,
Can we create a sticky where list out the various free tools to check distance?
Those kanna like 1.1 Km or 2.1Km, etc better use SLA Map to check for a secure peace of mind. -

Dear all
thanks for all the input. I had paid for the SLA service and found both schools to be in Zone 1, ie, within 1 km.
Didnt want to make a trip down the school to check the map, didnt want to call up the school also in case they give a very bo chap attitude. So with the SLA report, it gives me ease of mind.
Hence now will see if I should just slack and get into Phase 2C, or conduct PV to get into Phase 2B. -
Hi, wondering anyone have any statistics from MOE to share for Phase 2c Supplementary?
