Oh I see.. yes, then it probably must be due to the bad weather... but I heard it is so much cheaper if we order online from Dangdang, so I guess, the longer wait is still worth it, provided you order more books at one go.

Mine is exactly like yours, it's coming to 2.5mths!
I ever checked with DD on the refund, I was told that it's not possible since it had been shipped out. The only way to refund is do not accept the parcel when they deliver to me. Post office will then return the parcel to DD and DD will then refund the money to me....sounds ridiculous since DD was the one couldn't fulfill its promise of delivering within 8weeks...

DD has asked China Post about my case (yup, will take 3 months to check). Will see what's the outcome. Though I hope the items reached me before that. I shall keep the faith that all will end well.

Not sure if there are any spree going on but you can purchase directly from them since they ship worldwide.

The shipping rate is standard 50% of list price. While the books are really cheap, be prepared for long shipping time of 6-8weeks.

So far Citibank, Amex and OCBC cards seems to work fine with them. Happy shopping!

Dear all,

If you have not received your books after 5 or 6 weeks, I advise you to quickly call the bank to dispute the charge. You have up to 60 days from the date that the charge shows up in your account to dispute the charges. Then you don't have to pay until the bank investigates with the merchant.

If you do eventually receive the books, call the bank to settle it.


I think that dangdang.com has changed to another shipping company that may not be reliable. When I ordered from them for about 10 times between Dec 2009 and July 2010, all my orders arrived within 5 to 6 weeks.

Other alternatives would be to order through sprees in the singaporemotherhood.com, or http://www.65daigou.com. I have never ordered from them before, not sure whether they are reliable or not.

nope. but big amounts (I take to be 300 and above, though actual could be lower) tend to be slower. I've tried charging max 800+ in one order. So far, been very successful to get the amount deducted from my card balance; but then whether the order pass through audit, that's the fun part.

So strange :? I placed an order in mid Nov and another in early Dec and guess what my order from early Dec just arrived today. So yipee for that BUT my mid Nov order still no news. Really defy logic.


I guess the ship carrying my Dec order was faster than the one carrying my Nov order :rotflmao:

At least now I have hope.
