ya..at time ..i will use tt to encourage him...I told him not to give himself unnecessary stress and it is ok if he cannot perform very well.vlim:
by the way huh..do your p6 kids feel stress ?..mine keep telling me tt he feel stress and depress even though I keep telling him to relax...alamak  ..So yesturday I cannot tahan, I asked my dh to have a word with him...hope he feel better now..
vlim, your son already has CO from RI right? He shouldn't be stressing himself out. Force him to take a break. Recharge his batteries.
Have told him to think of what to do/play after PSLE..hope tt would destress him

vlim, I guess your DS is a \"sensitive' child.
Mine is too, anxious type too. Just like your DS even with CO to her dream school she was feeling the heat. And her performance drops a lot when she is anxious - so we took a complete break during Sep hols - away from home and books and anything remotely connected to PSLE. :imcool:
Its a different thing that I was over stressed with the vacation.
:frustrated: I was paranoid that she would hurt her hand - when she took the Luge rides at Sentosa. I put my foot down when she wanted to take the MegaZip. I had to avoid crowded areas so that she would not fall sick through infection. Food had to be scrutinised. At least it was a vacation for the rest of the family. :faint:
I really believe this helped her a lot. It did really recharge her. So my advise to you would be take a good break. But of course you would know what is best for your DS -

[/quote]Hi vlim,
Your ds is one of rare few.
What I always hear from the teachers are that the GEP pupils tend to relax and not working as hard once they receive a CO from their preferred school.

Mine slacking like crazy leh. But also cannot be *pushed*. This boy....haiz. Everyday after exam, he just goes to the computer to check the results of wrestling matches!!! Then he goes and watches Chinese drama serials, then has dinner, then wrestles with his little brother. Says he's \"tired\". Then fight with brother. Aiyoh... And he has no CO from any school (*hehe*).
I just have to pray that his unearthed potential will suddenly show during PSLE. *sigh*... or just go normal stream lah. haiayaiyai. -

DD also mentioned her math section C was a killer..... :nosebleed:Hi mummies,
DD said the prelim math section C is tough! Think this may be the signal to remind them of the possible tough math this coming PSLE!
I agree that's a wake-up call for the kids....not to be complacent for PSLE. Must continue to work hard for the next 5-6 weeks. Jia you everyone. :rahrah:
