For Primary 5 or 6 pupils

If your child is studying in primary 5 or 6 in a government or a government-aided school, he is eligible for the Edusave Scholarship for Primary Schools if he is amongst the top 10% of pupils of his level and stream. Your child will be selected by his school for this scholarship based on his year-end school examination results. The award is $400 for pupils in the top 5 per cent and $350 for the next 5 per cent.

            Hi Leanne,
Good to hear your DS is recovering well. Hopefully, he'll make a full recovery in the next few days and regain all his stamina by PSLE. Do take extra care these few days. šŸ˜‚

DD will also only receive her report book with her PSLE results but we know that SA1 will not have any weightage. 100% of the prelim results will be considered instead.

            Hi Belle,

            Thanks again for the concern.

Ds school will take 30 percent from sa1 and 70% from sa2.

Our report book will be back together with other level during year end.

So, looking forward to another year of EEIS?HAHAHA....400 Dollars...

            Cheers,
            Leanne

            Hi Leanne,
I think it's a good idea that your DS's sch place weightage on SA1 and the prelim...keke...I'm biased la...cos DD did better in SA1 than her prelims and her SA1 results are not taken into consideration.

Yes...getting the Edusave scholarship would be nice ....hopefully our kids are still eligible this yr... :xedfingers: Would be a nice reward for their efforts. :rahrah:

              Hi Brenda & Leanne,

Yes, only 8 more days till the start of PSLE....

DD's counting down everyday. Can't wait till it's all over. :rahrah:

DD's sch declared yesterday that all P6 will be given 3 days off after PSLE and Children's Day celebration to reward them for all their efforts & hard work. :boogie:

              Hi Tinkerbelle,

Ya lor. DD is also counting and looking forward to 4/10, last paper for Science and cheong to her classmate house for mini party!

Your DD school is really so considerate and I'm sure all the P6 students can have a good rest and fun during that three days! :boogie:

              Hi Brenda,
:hi5: DD also going for a post PSLE cum birthday party at her friend's house straight after her last paper. Yipee!! :rahrah: I think it's a well- deserved break for the kids. :imcool:

Yes, I really appreciate the sch's efforts in giving the students 3 days off after PSLE. I think my DD will 'Eat, Sleep & Play'. :imanisland:

Yes, same with DD school that the SA1 has not any weightage.

Think because of that one of the boy previously ranking #17- 18 position in SA1 now become #4 positions in the class.

Heard from DD this boy scored full marks for CL compo. and close to full marks in CL paper 2!

                Hi Brenda,
I know what you mean....when the sch only takes prelim results into consideration, it does make a difference in the student's ranking. Maybe the sch wants it to be more reflective of PSLE standards......Results based on 1 set of exams....no second chances. :skeptical:

Wow...this boy is superb!! Full marks for CL compo & close to perfect score for CL paper2.....definitely not an easy feat. How I envy....

                        Hi Belle,

I am also biase, ds did slightly better in prelim, so 30 percent in sa1 may pull down a little bit.Anyway, still the psle that counts.

Yes, 400 dollar is a good bonus for the kid.Last year, ds talked so much about it, this year totally unheard.Dont know why, maybe its the psle stress.

                        Cheers,
                        Leanne
