bird question- why does the bird's back face the sun? Anyone?
I wrote the dark coloured part of the bird is facing the sun to absorb heat faster and keep it warm.

We were informed by the sch during briefing that all subjects have equal weightage.I just want to clarify with all of you, is it true that there is more weightage on English and Chinese? My friends and their mummies say that English+Chinese=200%, Science is 50% and Maths is 50% as well...
Oh yes, I want to ask about question: 'Which set-up should he use as a control'
What did you put?

then it should be circle right..as firstly the small square cardboard ball not going to have any effect..though the 3 rd object which is a square cardboard, has the same height as the ball, it is within shadow of the cirle metal ball..
based on my son's memory....he drew out the pic for me.ngbrdad:
How did you manage to see the question ?
light source--->small square cardboard---->metal ball--->bigger square cardbord but same height as the metal ball--->screen (all these are in side view profile). His answer is a square - (the square blocks the metal ball since they are of the same height).
< O X... -

What about the soil particles one (the one about pouring water through it)? Anyone remember your ans?
My ans is : there are more air spaces in Set-up A than in Set-up B so the water can flow through the large particles faster than the small particles and thus the amount of water collected. -
The last question (booklet b)? About the spring one.
spring R-add loads to it then remove loads from it.
b) If the original length of spring R is 3cm, what will the length of the spring after all the loads are removed? Why? (rough idea of the question)
Help and thanks!
