Yes, I had been asking ds to read aloud whenever we do some revision. My hubby is helping him on the Eng. I'm also telling ds to start read newspaper (* school subcribe What's up and I'm waiting for the current events to be mail to us)cos of the oral conversation part. Ds's school have started to call the children to go to their chin teachers to read out their chin text book passage before school, during recess or after school. last yr, his chin teacher shared with me with I also kind of realise and agreed. PSLE starts in August cos the moment the children well prepared and do well during their oral exam, their confident and self esteem will boost and motivated them to put in extra more effort to do well for the 1 month time PSLE.

Thank you for sharing. Yes is better to score more marks in CL Oral especially it is weighting at 50 marks. This can help to cover the set back in CL compo. which is usually tougher to score. Heard from DD that her teacher want each of them take turn to present a current event be it worldwide or in Singapore to te class. I think this will help to increase their awareness of what is happening.

        Hi Brenda,

I agree...there's definitely more to life than studying. Your DD seems to be a well-balanced kid...consistent revision and allocation of time for R & R, TV, swimming & the movies. Tell us if the movie is worth watching after you watch it on Thursday ok. DD1 wants to watch it.

        Hi Tinkerbelle

We are just 苦中作乐 leh. We have been finding time for watching movie show since school open, like she went with a classmate to watch a ghost show directed by Mark Lee; Xin Shao Lin Si by Andy Lau and her favour beauty star Fan Bing Bing etc. Now she also urges us to bring her to Science Center for “something” that she heard from Radio 95.00.

        Hi Brenda,
DD also told me something that's happening at the science centre.....CSI display. Wonder if it's the same one your DD mentioned to you. DD loves forensic shows, books etc.

I was attending DD's Parents' Briefing last month & saw the countdown of days to PSLE written at a corner of the white board in the classroom. DD mentioned the FT wants them to be reminded each day of the fact that PSLE is not too far away.. 😉

@ brenda & Tinkerbelle :Don't mention we are all here sharing, you also share something with us, brenda. Ya, i must really get my ds to read newspaper.

Yes, It's pretty fun at the CSI exhibition, we went there last Dec. There are 3 crime scenes for you to solve and there are alots information. After then you can submit yr answer and get your CSI certificiates through email. We enjoyed it, what we did was went for 1 scene then we went for Omni movie then back for the other 2. I think so, 1 scene takes about 45mins

Sounds interesting. Like that can let her try what she had read from the Forensic Science Book and Woman's Murder Club. :celebrate:

Just before you enter they will give you a free photo which you can pick them up to purchase. My ds damn funny saw they are selling the CSI printed tape, he said can buy, I told him \"choi\" which will buy such tape to tape at home. :slapshead:

                        Then go, go, go.

We too went in Dec hols. All of us liked it very much 😄
For the 3 cases, first one we did as a team - DH, me and DS. For the other 2 DH and I did together while DS cracked the 3rd case on his own. Lots of things to learn as well, at least for me, didn't know all the advanced teqniques used in crime detection.
