Hi Brenda,
Ha ha....watching CL show...defintely no problems. DD's favourite past time. Hope she's listening to the Chinese and not reading the subtitles...
We went to watch A Great Great World over the weekend. DD didn't understand all the dialects so she read the subtitles for most of the show. She had a great laugh....a nice break from her hectic sch work. Only thing is, after watching the previews at the cinema, now she wants to watch 172 Hours and I'm Number 4. Guess that will have to wait till after CA1.
Hi Tinkerbelle
Same here. :hi5: I guess your dd must be also watching the new 9pm CL show :
A tale of 2 Cities.
If we buy the CL DVD show, I would try to choose those come with only Chinese subtitle aim to sharpen the listening skills and take it as like reading E book..
Yes. I also tell her after CA1 we will go for show again. Mean time she still has 7pm and 9pm CL show and also her favour Thursday 8pm show - Point of Entry etc. -
Hi Brenda,
Thanks for the reply.
DS enjoys reading story book that is only hilarious, like the one in xiao mao.Is 小豆豆的日记 similar to xiao mao?thanks
Regards
Leanne
Hi Leanne
You’re welcome.
I would say these are two different type of story, unlike xiao mao, 小豆豆的日记 is make up of 61 short stories about her childhood life and wonderful learning in a special school etc

Hi Brenda,

Thanks for the great suggestion. ...I will buy CL shows with Chinese subtitles in the future. That way, DD will have to listen and not rely on reading Eng subtitles. If she reads the CL subtitles, that'll be a bonus.
Yes, DD watches the 7pm, 9pm Chinese shows and some programmes on octo channel to unwind after a long day of sch & HW. -

CA1 Results is Always indicated in Report Book and Carries about 10% towards Whole Year's Weightage - Has Been this Way Since P1 ....
Your child's sch has 2 prelim exams?? Is prelim 1 the equivalent of SA1 and prelim 2 the equivalent of CA2?
Don't know. Maybe, but very early anyway, in mid-April. But better than my ds1's time where there were 3 prelims in April, June & August. -

DD's CA1 is starting on the 28 Feb. Only 9 more days to go... :nailbite: DD told me she's not ready yet. Teacher is still piling the class with HW. This week has been a busy week for DD as started EL & CL creative writing supp lessons conducted at sch by external vendors.
Good luck to your DS with his piano exams. :celebrate: -
