TREX8:
DD did well - 271, better than our expectation. NYGH - here we come!
:congrats: Trex8 & DD. :boogie: -
seems this year no input of each school highest T-score ??
last yr list v useful and clear -
Well said, jtoh. Just what I told DD yesterday. Everything starts from square one in secondary school. No point asking about what is your T-score as a high T-score does not translate into ability to do well in secondary level. 小时了了大未必佳。
jtoh:
The girls all start from a fresh slate in secondary school. It doesn't matter if your PSLE score was 260+ or 270+ or 280+. You'll be given the same opportunities so long as you prove yourself. And in case you think that girls who score low 260s don't do as well as those who score 270s in secondary school, that's not true. Secondary school is a different ballgame. Quite often, we find girls who enter at low 260 doing very well in Sec 1, outdoing some who came in at 270s. Similarly we find some who scored 270s performing below par with low GPAs in Sec 1 & 2. So don't worry about opportunities. The more important consideration is which school culture your dd is more comfortable in. RGS and NYGH are both very good schools but with very different school cultures and environments.

Sorry Helping Hand, didnt know that you are the child. You think the COP will still be the same even when the school becomes a SAP sch?

Thanks TREX8, is your dd going to NYGH or RGS? I can't recall now. And congrats on her excellent results.Well said, jtoh. Just what I told DD yesterday. Need some advice and guidance…
My DD has 249(HMT+1). She is from St Nicks and is very keen to go into IP which unfortunately is not timely offered by St Nicks. We are considering Cedar IP as 1st choice which has COP 248. St Nicks (COP 249) as 2nd choice. Considering that Cedar has just started the IP and might see higher volume of applicants from the 250 & above range which may result in their COP being pushed higher than 248. Can anyone share how’s her chance like?
We are concerned if she does not get into Cedar IP, her chances at St Nicks would be compromised - affliation no longer applies (due to 2nd choice) and their COP may rise (especially it appears that this year has quite a huge no. of 250 above scorers).
Many thanks in advance! -

Why not try Maris Stella High School, its an all-boys, SAP school located at Bartley Road, near Serangoon.
