Hi LeanneThey had a mock chinese CA,so tough that even for first section MCQ, ds did not score well.Yet to see the full paper. But, its a good check point, has let him starting to do CHINESE MCQ again, and hopefully in sa1 will do better.
Cheers
Leanne
Like inflation around Singapore, everything also increase (degree of difficultive increase).
Some of the Compre (3 MCQ ) in paper 1 that dd brought back also not easy to do as all the answer are quite close to each one. :? -
Hi Brenda,
Quite true. That is why I start to doubt the assessment books that I have bought for ds.Think its not as hard as compared to the paper.
I guess the chinese paper is testing how careful and analytical a kid is rather than how good your chinese is.
Thus, practise more and get more exposure on the kind of questions.Sounds like math papers now...hahaha
Cheers

True. Is better to screen throught and be selective otherwise all the time and effort are in vain.Hi Brenda,

You are right, brenda.

Perhaps is the \"demand cannot meet the supply\" theory lah. Unless the assessment books are always revamp (time and cost incurred) otherwise it may not on path with the latest papers that school given.
Just my 2 cents thought -

Thank you all for your \"compliments\" - glad you find \"sense\" in the \"quote\" to share with your kids. Maybe one day my DS will tell me how is it his frens or classmates' mummies are all saying the same phrase to their kids......
Yes, I like it to will share with my ds at my fb. Thanks, hifive for yr sharing.MoonFlower:

Hi LeanneLeanne:
You are right, brenda.
Hi Brenda,
Not exactly sure why, cos I yet to see how he gets 3 mcq wrong for the entire paper.
I asked again, he says its not the words or meaning very close but they are of vast different.Anyway, dont really know what it is.
I guess its the techniqe in doing the questions, not so much on the assessment books.I have thrown out few assessment books as ds never have a single mistake in it.
Cheers
