For the 1st question of science what did you write?

Hi,science paper bklt A Q5. rate of photosynthesis is reduced bcause lack of ___.

Is it carbon dioxide or water?My Ds put water.

I am trying my \"mathematical\" reasoning here:

In the presence of light,

carbon dioxide + water ---> oxygen (product of photosynthesis)

CO2 + H2O ---> oxygen

From above 2 molecules of oxygen is found in \"carbon dioxide\" while only 1 molecule of oxygen is found in \"water\".

Hence \"carbon dioxide\" is deemed more important in the determining the rate of photosynthesis.

If this year PSLE is difficult then 2012 will be easy??? Hope next year is easy as as my DS will be taking his PSLE next year.

After posting my argument I found this piece of information on the web:


Water and CO2

Plants need water for photosynthesis. If they lack it, they wilt. When they have a deficiency of water, their stomata close, so CO2 cannot diffuse into the leaves. So CO2 is also the limiting factor, although it is as a result of lack of water.

My DS has no CO yet, and he has his DSA rejection letters to remind him to work hard to get to somewhere he wants

Those without any DSA offer need to wait for PSLE result and then make the 6 choices of school and apply online. Then wait for result to know which school been posted to. And the very next day report to the posted sec sch rt? I have one Q though, how are we informed abt the posted sec school ? Email?
