All About HFMD

My son kena HFMD after we brought him for crawling contest! He was only abt 9 mths! I’ve learnt a lesson - must remember to wash his hands n feet.
-
Most parents thought that children contacted HFMD from the childcare centres/schools but from what I gathered, most of the cases happened when the kids were in the public playground.
Parents who dun practice hygience ie wash/clean their kids’ hands and feets after contacting with the other kids in the public playground, brought them to the childcare centres/schools the next day. So the next few days, the symptoms started showing.
Schools continue to instill the good hygience practice to the children. What about at home and when you bring your kids out ??? -
there is an outbreak of HFMD at My 1st Skool AMK Blk 329. So far what i heard is that the no. of student affected is around 12~13 cases.

Maybe u can try to get him to suck on an ice cube. Or make ice lollies by freezing ribena or yakult/vitagen drinks. My kids prefer the ribena ice lollie version when they had HFMD. The most important thing is to hydrate them, especially since the weather is so hot these days. -

Sorry to hear that. It's a bad experience... my DD got it when she was into her third week at CCC years back. While we were warned that CCCs are a breeding ground for germs and kids fall sick easily and frequently when there, we were not prepared for HFMD...

Ice cream is good. Get those milky ones so at least he gets some nutrition. DD then would rather starve than eat. it was only until her stomach really growl then she'll force herself to down half bot of milk... like once or at most twice a day...
Take good care of him. -

Ya hor, didn't think of making the yakult/vitagen ice cubes. Make some ice cubes using the milk formula but he doesn't want.
So far for today he only took 160ml of FM when he woke up.

This CCC always have very good record of HFMD past few years & my DD1 never get it. Never know that DS2 will get it. I think the CCC will have a lot of cleaning to do now.
