      Dear ALL,

Saw the advertistment on The Straits Times, front page of Classified Ad.
Quantum Life Techonologies (QLT) together with Guardian Pharmacy is having a promotion for the Silver Sol range of products...... Do go check it out.
If Guardian Pharmacy is selling the Silver Sol, it would mean that the product is note worthy and beneficial. Go check it out! Cheers 🙂

The HFMD is back. My son was infected after a few of his friends in child care center got it. Now struggling to apply leave to take of my kid, while in the midst of heavy workload.

Some general guidelines that I am currently following:

          1) Drink lots of fluid.

          2) Ensure that his hands are washed before meals.

          3) Coax him into taking light food (even though its very painful).

          4) Get an oral drop from the doctor which relieve the pain for a short period of time.

If your kid doesn’t want to eat, feed them things that are cool eg. yoghurt, ice cream, jelly, cold fresh milk, cooled diluted porridge etc. Anything they eat will be a bonus. Better than nothing at all.

The mouth ulcers are very painful coz I experienced it myself! I got it from my boy last time.

                Hi

My DS2 was diagnosed with HFMD yesterday. He was complaining of sore throat and think due to the ulcers in his mouth, he was in pain. Now no appetite to eat as he can't swallow. But have been giving him plenty of water.

Thanks to this forum and parents contributing ideas in this thread, read about giving ice-cream during this time. Tried giving him ice-cream last night when he kept complaining of the pain in his mouth and he was happily eating it.

Would need some advice here : my DS1 is 12 yr old and I am quite afraid that this HFMD may pass on to him. I've asked DS1 to sleep in another bedrm (they actually shared the same bedrm) last night, separated their utensils, keep 1 toilet solely for my DS2 to use. What about disinfecting e.g. toys (but they don't play together now), books, etc? Do I have to do disinfect everyday since they don't share all those things at home during this period? appreciate advices, thanks.
                Hi hiFive
Keep monitoring your 12 years old...I recalled the last day of my younger one's MC was the 1st day of my elder one's MC. That is, his bro recover, his HFMD starts altho, we separated them once the younger is confirmed HFMD. And the elder one's condition is worst than the younger one.

Last time my elder also got from my younger. I think the virus had already spread before we noted the symptoms.
                    Take care. :hugs:
