TIA!
Result not out yet...But I dun forsee to see results so soon...he has been there for 1 mth or so only. I think Compo writing need time esp he doesnt read chinese books.
Hopefully, with both Berries and Han, his level of chinese will improve. -

HiIm considering Han vs Berries.
My son is P1 this year, and his chinese standard is not very good. SA2 result not out yet, Wonder has he improved? But reg ends 12 Nov..
Currently attending Berries at Woodlands.
Would like to check which is better, Han or Berries.
Berries is usually full house, but do not know if I should change..
They have homework and my son does really remember what he has learnt from sch.
Feel that the teacher teaching is not so focus rather a bit rush..
(May be too much to teach in 1h45min)
Can anyone advise ?
I supposed both are ok, all depends on the Center Teachers. Berries has been doing a wonderful job to my 2 boys. Of course, these days, I dun see great improvements in my elder boy school work. However, I felt Berries Teacher in his Bk Batok Center is very committed. Very often, I saw the teachers talking to the parents, highlighting the weakness, asking the parents to try strenghten a particular areas etc...And all these are done not cos the parents asked the teachers for feedback.
As for Hans, can't really comment yet as my boy is with them for not long. And he is in their compo and compreh class and not the usual chinese enrichment class. His CCK center teacher at Hans seems lok to me...most impt, he doesnt reject gg...
It is a difificult decision to drop off from Berries, i noe...cos once drop, it is difficult to get in. Their wait list is long esp the weekend classes. -
Hi Dino Mummy.
Ya, called CCK Han, hmm, normal chinese Tuition dun really focus on compo but feel Berries will.
Ya, the prev time called Bukit Batok but the time slot was fully book, so went to Woodlands. Thinking to let him cont for 1 term to try again.
Called Berries, but the time slot for weekend was almost fully booked.
signed! They based on first come first serve. Im not staying near Woodlands. -

Berries oso doesnt focus on compo unless you are in their compo class. But I think Compo class is only for the higher level..(tink Pri 3 onw) But I know Berries has compo materials for the kids...I saw their compo materials. Quite ok...I wanted to put him w Berries for the Compo class but we cant made it on those available days.
I strongly believe it is the teachers that made the teaching effective not the brand name of the center. So far, I have no complain on Berries Bt Batok, I am their \"Loyal Customer\"...
Plus point for Hans is their class size is small..think the compo class my boy is attneding has only 5 kids. -
Hi,
Any mothers whose kids are with Han Language - can comment if their program is good esp. for Primary 1 ?
Any comments on the Sengkang or Punggol branch - are the teachers good ? -
Hi thinking of enroling my son in Han Language but torn betw the enrichment class or compo & compre, which is good? Do they teach compo & compre or oral for the usual enrichment class? Do they do compo and compre in alternate lesson (eg: one week compo, one week compre) for the compo & compre class?

My p2 niece goes to KRTC Changi city point (new branch) for Chinese tuition. She used to dislike Chinese, to the extent of not wanting to speak the language at all. But after attending just 2 sessions, she started asking my sister to buy her Chinese books and became interested in Chinese tv serials. It was really surprising. If im not wrong, KRTc isn’t known for their Chinese, but the tutors differ from branch to branch, so if you’re lucky, you can still find good ones. The Chinese teachers at this particular branch are all very experienced and their method is to arouse the child’s interest in the subject and not just force it down their throats. Their fees are also on the low side and there’s trial lessons. No harm going down to enquire if you stay in the area

Anyone had an experience with Han 汉 Language Centre? They have several branches and I am considering enrolling my DD (S1) at the one at Toa Payoh. TIA!
