Mamona, did you call RGS & they said cannot change or it's just in the email? If you have not call, I think you should call & explain to them why you need to change. You have a valid reason to change as it's not because the date crashes with other school's selection test.
No it is a centralised exam conducted by all the non-tamil mother tongue language school. And it is only one day exam. -

Yah I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Heard from my dd last night that two of her frens have rec'd call to attend the nygh tea party.
My dd too is GEP > 85% (her P6 SA1 average is around 90%). Like yours, mine has not received the call for NYGH interview yet either.musette:
Yes, dd is GEP >85% and HCL. Now I understand why some parents necks become long last year from waiting
Hope that they need not attend NYGH interview.
Hopefully we'll both hear some good news too.
Hi, my DD and some of her GE classmates have been invited for an interview with NYGH next week. Nothing was mentioned about 'tea session' and when I called the school to enquire, I was told the school does not conduct tea sessions anymore. It appears that the school now requires all students to attend an interview. Could it be that ur DD's classmates heard wrongly or that the lady from NYGH I spoke with doesn't know what she's talking about? -
Hi,
DS got a Yes for NUSH selection camp but worry he might shortlist for RI on the same day…don’t know which stand a higher chance…
When applying RI, knew both dates would crash but thought if NUSH first round failed, it would be over…coz only 400 would be selected into second round…not that… easy.
Very dilemma…any advice?? -
superworried mum:
\"might\" meaning date not confirm right? Wait until you receive the confirmation then ask your DS which one he prefer.Hi,

To be honest, I'm also not sure. When I called up NYGH to enquire the status of application, the lady who answered the call told me that they would be calling up all GE girls for interview. But dd was very certain the fren told her that she need not attend interview. Will check with dd again.

In fact, there's even speculation that it matters very much which venue is the NYGH interview being conducted. That is, those whose interviews are held at the Alumni Room will be interviewed personally by the P herself (which may mean an informal chit-chat session ie. sort of a 'tea session') whereas if held elsewhere in the school, the interviews will be a formal one. Again I have to stress it's just a speculation and that's why I'm sharing it here in the hope that someone with better knowledge of this year's NYGH interview process can confirm if the speculation is true or simply a speculation. -

For students who have multiple selection test offers or prelim. Other than the liking of the kid to go where, it is best parents understand the potential of their kids and where they can fit in best , chances of getting in to school of their kids choice and the acadamic performance & certificates they have and have good talk. I learnt from my friends experience last year and I have my homework done . Sometimes need to be practical and do this homework and not regret later. All the best.
