I guess School may ask any kind of questions related to news, history, family, schools e.g. This is not student knowledge testing and school may want to see our children's moral spirit, whether kind, considering others, helpful or not e.g. So we just tell our children to be true to themselves.
yarna:
Hi any ideal what question being asked during interview
There are 2 panel interviews and 2 situational tests. All were conducted on the same day. DS says that he was asked the following questions - which school did you apply for, why SJI, what do you aspire to be, do you think being a doctor of a scientist is more important, tell me about your family, can you describe your sister, do you help her in her homework...
What domain is your son applying for?
Yup, it does seem to be. I also think that it is important that the kids be true themselves as questions like tell me about your sister.. was not expected. Also we told him to be truthful about the schools he applied for. We did however, ask him why he is choosing SJI. In a way, he was prepared for that question. -
Thanks Lilo!
I am not sure why I can’t reply by clinking the ‘quote’ - thank you, and we are waiting anxiously for the Cedar interview notification… -

DS's teacher told me that these interviewers are very experience. They'll be able to detect the sincerity of the child. & I believe most children are very honest.yarna:

Last year, there were some children who even told the interviewers : \"I apply this school because my parents want me to do so\". Not sure whether the chance will be affected by such answer. :scratchhead:
So parents, if your child do not really like or feel comfortable with the schools, maybe it's good not to \"force\" them to apply DSA for the school.

Actually, for the DSA do we have to apply for it or the schools will send you an invite email to ask you to apply ? How does it works ah ??? blurr

You've to apply for it. The application process can be found under the school website. Usually it's online application and will start in April each year. So, if you're interested to apply DSA for certain schools, go to their website. -
Cedar Girls DSA-Academic interview invite email is out. Good luck to all!
Is it based on GAT date ? I didn't receive anything yet so do you
know if rejected then also they will send rejection email ?
hope you will get the e-mail soon...good luck to your dd. We did and it clashes with mother tongue prelims, same day and same time, same story again.. :nailbite:
Hi Laksmi
Not sure whether I will get the email or not as my daughter is not very hopeful about the GAT as she panicked & she has doubt whether she could clear it or not. Anyway will wait and see.
Thanks -

What I am afraid is sometime if a qn is asked indirectly to test if the kids like the dsa school and the kids take it objectively to answer, it may lead to misunderstanding that the kids do not feel for the school and end up no CO, but infact the kids like the school, then the interview is making things worst.
Agree. DS's teacher told me that these interviewers are very experience. They'll be able to detect the sincerity of the child. & I believe most children are very honest.

Thanks for the suggestion, Lilo. I called up the school office and they said the invitations for interview will be sent out next week. So good luck everyone :xedfingers:mamakata:
My first post on this website. Has anyone been called for interview at MGS?
