DD was interviewed together with a whole batch of Sports Dsa gals for RGS. On Tues, there were 4 groups of 3 girls being interviewed. Heard that today was also reserved for Sports dsa interviews. For DD's sport I believe they are only intending to admit 2 girls under dsa.

They do give chance to every child, DD feels better in group interview, kind of companionship.

Have any parents of DD (mainstream) received any CO/WL or rejection letters from RGS/NYGH or DHS/SCGS/SNG yet?

My dd was not shortlisted for DHS. I called DHS yesterday and they told me that they have finished shortlisting. Thus those who did not received sms or email mean that they are not shortlisted. So sad.........

Shalom, dun be so sad. You've to encourage your DD. Tell her to work hard for PSLE & she'll be able to go to her dream school.

DD said the 3 Teachers interviewing the 3 gals were quite friendly. One of the interviewer was the DSA teacher. All 3 gals were given equal chances to speak. Lucky that all 3 (including DD) were quite supportive of each other.. No one trying to out speak anyone... :grphug:

Just to share about MSG IP interview, it was individual (unlike NYGH and RGS) interview with two teachers, they have two panels conducting interviews together. Besides questions listed on letter, they also asked " what is recent news that has caught your attention?" "What is your goal for life?"


My DD was in Olympic fever, she replied "Feng Tian Wei won bronze medal" for the first question and to the second question she replied "To represent Singapore in Olympic". Quite epic, the teachers were all laughing.

The whole process was last about 15 minutes. Do remember to bring a jacket as the library is quiet cold.

I noticed that there were 2 groups - one group for English Test only and the other group for English test and interview. Does anyone know whether the 1st group still have to attend interview later, on another day?

I guess one group who took the English test are the kids DSA through sports, music, etc other than academic. My friend's DD took the sports trial in early July but I am not sure whether she sit for the English test today. My DS told me there's another section at 11am, for the early morning section, there are total 120 pupils. Is the 11am section are for those who are taking the English test only?
