Please read the past sharings in this thread from page 583xlx:
this is my first post
my son received invitation from NJC for the selection exercise
who knows how to prepare for the selection exercise?
what they test?
what they ask on interview?
Sharing from suecat page 583:
'Dd just came out from the activity . Said they were told to do a river crossing activity with all of them having their legs tied together . Then every one of them were not allowed to use either their hands, mouths etc to try to get across in 40 mins . There were 3 teachers observing and watching . She had fun and was full if enthusiasm when she came out . Waiting for the interview at 12.30 now . Glad her s was early and not too late !'
See this thread page 592 sharing from sbcdad:
'DS's experience in NJC yesterday :
1) The day activity comprised of 2 games which were pretty challenging and fun too. He came out pretty happy
2) Interview scheduled at 130pm but he waited for 50 mins before called in to the panel of 3 interviewers. First remark by one of the interviewer : you looked cheerful and not at all nervous. This sounded good and put DS at ease though I personally think he really was just being himself and not at all nervous at all.
Questions started such as what was his favourite subject, what books he liked to read (DS concluded this question was a result of his personal statement in the very first stage of DSA application so it depends on what you have written about yourself) and why does he think he should be given a place ?
The process lasted for 20mins with the senior escorting him out of the room all the way to the lobby.
Oh most importantly, DS felt okie after the whole process which I thought and hope it all turns out well too.' -

Better focus on next week PSLE oral and Social Studies SA (for GEPpers). Geppers always have extra challenge compare to mainstreamers. See there is still this sticky SS SA just two days before PSLE Oral, not fair to the GEPpers right? So mainstream parents, dun complain about DSA anymore, if you do, ...
