        sweet concerns πŸ˜‚ .
        1. we parents feel for my DS, ACS (I) is better as ACS (I) is more relaxed than RI .
        2. To me RI for excellence, My DS need to work hard for every thing including to get in to CCA he wants . πŸ˜“
        3. currently got NUSH CO . waiting for ACS (I) & RI results :scratchhead:

        Agree with Leeven. πŸ˜„
The ACSI boys do look like they have a lot more fun. Haven't seen many muggers there. Great sense of humour and eloquent speakers. Definitely looks more relaxed..
And this is coming from ex-Rafflesian πŸ˜„

πŸ˜„ julialai , can you share your experience as ex-Rafflesian on getting the CCA's / RA subjects that you preferred. I got to know that students need to go for audition/test to join the CCAs . How hard is for the students to hope up when they dont get the CCA's /RA subjectsthey want to have . Will they be forced to pick any CCA/ RA due to this and affecting their career. for example RA english is given to a student who wishes to go for Medicine / Finance related.

To other parents whose kid applied to SJI, please share if you have heard from SJI.

Have not heard from SJI so far. But I am rather impressed by the way they conducted the selection test/interview. Very professional. They even provided the kids with drinks and bread and each of them even received a book at the end of it. And this is for just $30 compared to a much bigger amount some other schools charged.[/quote

Don't remember got any drinks and bread lei 🀷 .... anyway, he was too stress ... hope to hear a reply soon. everyday πŸ™

So in the boy schools, many who are not selected ended up in uniform group which is suppose for their good in preparing them for NS and physical/leadership training. Heard in ACS(I), students have to take up two CCA and uniform group is a compulsory one.

By RA I assume you're referring to Raffles Academy subjects? There's a very stringent selection process for students wishing to take up RA subjects. If you have no interest in a subject, you don't need to sit for the RA selection test for that subject. Provided of course that you even qualified and were selected to sit for the selection test in the first place.

CCA selections take place in most schools and more often than not, it's the CCA that chooses you and not the other way around.

Students are resilient. They don't get too caught up in moping over CCA choices etc. Take it as a life lesson. You don't get everything you wish for in real life. There are people who are better at a CCA or subject.

Mine is in the first and maybe they think the kids may not have taken breakfast yet so early in the morning. Anyway, very kind of them to do so.

Thnx Jtoh . Yes RA= Raffles Acadamy. so not having given ure choice RA subject or not even qualified for RA does it impact the DC university application. how does RA subject helps in for University application.
