Agree. My friend's DD was very disappointed when she didn't get in her dream school last year (DSA & PSLE missed by 2 points). Has happily settled in NJC :). So dun be sad.....still have a go after PSLE.
True. 塞翁失马,焉之非福 ?LangMum:
GLORYmum, the kids will be fine. I was in your shoes last year. DS didn't make it to RI. It seems to be his dream Sch then. But today he is very happy and proud to be in DHS. Seeing him so happy now, I'm no longer sad that he didn't make it into his dream sch.
Usually kids' dream school are influenced from their adults. It is usually more like their adults' dream school. They themselves will adjust, make new friends and settle down quickly. -

GLORYmum, :imsorry: stay positive...we still have tea party to look forward to, keep stretching our necks...it's a good exercise thoughRGS email is out.
A consoling one.
:gloomy:
Consoling one = WL?
Look at it positively, my DD said the DSA interviews are like trial run for PSLE Oral and I am sure your DD enjoyed the process.
Many things could have happened during the selection. During one of the interviews, DD said there was this girl who talked non-stop, dominated the whole interview session and all out to impress. When the interview was over, that girl was \"scolded\" by the other 4 girls (exclude my DD lah) for talking to much and interrrupted other girls when they were talking. Worse of all, based on sitting position, that girl was always first called to answer and by the time it gets to the 4th, 5th, 6th girls, everything needed to be said have been said by 1st, 2nd, 3rd child.
Come, come, I give you my shoulder to lean on...I may need yours when party invitation is out  -

G Tan:
Sorry to hear that. Did your dd try out for other schools? I hope she gets good news on the other ones or does well in her PSLE to get into her desired school.

Glory mum , hugs. When we applied for dsa, we hope for the best, yet prepare for the worst. be strong, and 笑对江湖。

G Tan:
Not sure if you can hold the news from her as her classmates might be discussing this in school. Maybe it's good to let her know, at the same time, give her some encouragement words.

Hi all,
It wasn't easy at first for me to accept the unsuccessful email at the start of the day.
Fortunately dd was ok and took it quite well.
After all this is not the end of the world, right?
Thanks folks for your outpouring kind and comforting words especially to you who had shared your past experience on overcoming the disappointment. -
Can I ask something???
Is it that once a school offers u and u accepted under DSA, u cannot change anymore subsequently?
What if later on (touch wood), never do so well in psle and fail to meet the CO marks?
Thanks -
