Phankao - I support VS way of doing. It gives a chance to those on WL - reduces the eagerness of waiting and not knowing what's next. If one is keen with the school, decide and take it. If not, decline and give the chance to others. 2 weeks of deciding period is more than enough. VS has set a wonderful process for this year.

So far, it appears that VS is the only school who is doing this. I wonder how VS will align this with the MOE process of choosing the DSA confirm offer which will take place in Oct. I hope they have a process in place dealing with those who sign on the VS acceptance letter and later change their mind in Oct. :spank: :spank:

I don't think it works for NYGH. They really sound very sian and not that friendly unlike SCGS. I email to them once, but no reply. SCGS will still reply my email. So no choice, we just have to wait patiently for their reply.

Just dont understand why they cannot just send out rejection emails immediately first. At least those who never receive the rejection emails/letters, they know their DC stand a chance (be it CO or WL). These kind of wait and anxiety is really torturing.....

Just heard from DS that 2 of his classmates who score > 80% was given WL1 from HCI. Looks like HCI does not really look at % but rather base on response test & interview.


I remember some parents asked before whether does interview plays a part in selection, I believe it is so.

For HCI WL1 is as good as CO.

DS classmate also told RI his first choice was not RI when asked during the interview, so he got WL with RI also. RI thanked him for the honesty but did not reject him totally, still give him a \"second chance\" in case he change his mind.
