Thanks Snow Crystal. Thank you for your support to all parents here.! Your experience and humor have made us less stressed in this stressed journey. Lesson has learnt from this DSA process:
Trust your DD/DS
After open house, my DD already decided which would be her dream school, so she told me to just apply NYGH. I, being a real KS mum, persuaded her to apply two more. Now looking back, she is so certain that IT is THE SCHOOL, I was just adding her more work and anxiety. :slapshead:
Thank you and many other experienced KS parents, like jtoh, your kind advises were really wise and appreciated..
I guess we just share what we know. I joined KSP simply to return - I have received, I should return. Returned quite a bit to this thread already so that's why I retiring into Korean drama thread
and occasionally come here to KP only
Your girl is so clear and set on NYGH and her dream has been realized sooner than others :boogie: All the best to your daughter and do continue to share your experience with DSA2013 and so forth ...last but not least, please tell us what tea menu was served at NYGH and don't forget to 'tao bao' some for those KSPs here... :rotflmao: -

hmmmm silent reader => now became secret holder => again now silent reader :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :spank: please tell me the school. I like chatty KPs like meZekezachzoom:
Has been a silent reader in this site and going through the same agonizing moments of the DSA process. I share the same joy and disappointment with those who had gone through the process with their DCs. For me, it is finally over and I wish to congratulate those mummies and daddies who have successfully gotten CO or COs from their DCs' dream schools.
My DS has gotten 2 COs through 2 very different routes. One thru academic and the other thru sports. These 2 schools are very different in their school teachings. One thrives to achieve excellence at all cost (the past achievements of the sports came together with the email which confirmed the offer and the monetary incentives that will be awarded upon bringing in medals to school) the other is more holistic, as from the mouth of principle, result is not everything what matters is the building of characters.
We have a good problem on hand but after discussing with my DS and DH,
we have came to a conclusion. We think that pursuing excellence is not a bad thing but there may be lacking of good character building in the process of doing so. We would like our DS to grow up as a warm and compassionate man instead of just a cold individual who cares for nothing but pursuing good results.
Now I am actually feeling more relax after the decision is made and the pressure of pushing my DS to do well in PSLE is off my shoulder. Instead of achieving good TScores to get into his dream school, he is now focusing on doing his personal best for his own pride. Here wishing all DCs a good PSLE
result for this year. Let's do the dragon kids proud!
