You are CERTAINLY not alone!Kiasucy:
Aiyo, also in a dilemma now...
3 years ago, I came to know this KSP forum after my ds got into GEP. Still remember I spent a few nights reading the whole GEP thread. These few days, trying to read the RI and HCI threads. What a torture to my eyes!

HI Jon101, thanks for sharing.
Hopefully the letters are mailed out before late evening then we can receive by tomorrow afternoon.
And hopefully they do change their mind to send by email too.
Counting down to the last 30 hours otherwise will be 30+24=54 hours of waiting.

As long as he is happy, I'm ok with both schools.
But being a KS mum, I'll still be reading thru RI & HCI thread to gain more info & ask questions. -

At this age of theirs, they are afraid of being left alone especially when they know they are going to a new place. When they reach the new place soon they will make new friends and settle down. Their old friend may join another class and make new friends as well and soon they will be less attached to the old group of friends. DS has friend got rejected while the rest got CO to the same school, poor kid is now upset he will soon be apart from his good friends...
Not follow friends' hearts lah :rotflmao:Snow Crystal:
Need wisdom to choose the right school.
If follow his/her heart, they will end up following their friends.
As I talk to more parents, realize many kids tend to want to follow where their friends want to go...it's a 4/6 years course,so must choose wisely a school they really like.
If you force kid to go to a school not his wish, he may blame you next time.
Kids tend to follow the friends I agree and we cannot force kids too but we have an important role to play to make kids understand their potential , learning style and which schools will best fit in.
My son too is worried P4 because of GEP he has to leave his friends and move school and now again at P6. so now in :? RI or NUSH or ACS I. but we last 2 is good. now we are nt going to talk to him any thing until PSLE finishes -

Hi Leeven,leeven:
pardon me, but I am still not familiar with certain terms used here.
Can any 1 enlighten what is the meaning of mainstreamers? what kids are considered mainstreamers?
Your DC is studing which level now in primary school.
For P4,P5,P6 there are 2 are 2 team which GEP students and non GEP students (main streamers) something like express, normal ,technical .
My child is due to register for P1 next yr for 2014. However, as I have not much knowledge abt the primary school education system, I am trying to learn as much as possible, including primary school registrations and so on to prepare myself and child at same time.
So far, the forum here has been very informative, except for times whereby I may not understand certain terms. So please pardon me when I ask silly questions at times.
Hope all will get the COs you wanted!!!! I can feel the joys and empathise with the disappointments of the parents here, for I also want and hope for the best for my kid as well.
cheers
Welcome Dino. No Silly questions. I just want to understand what level is ure kid to answer accordingly.
And you fit for this KP site ya , started worrying now itself.
