Congrats to everyone who were successful in their DSA application!! πŸ•Ί

To me, making the choice between RGS and NYGH is more difficult than the DSA process itself.

      Now which one to choose?
:congrats: to Neko and musette too! Yes, another one with this Happy Problem πŸ˜‚ Let your DD decide. Let her go to school one more time to see and feel, pray for right choice! πŸ•Ί :dancing:

My DD is unsuccessful in NYGH DSA.
Now we need to working hard to get in through PSLE.
Very curious how good can be successed in DSA application?
SO sorry New Julie, yes, there is still PSLE. a handful top students from my DD's school didn't apply for DSA at all, as they are doing their best for PSLE. I think DSA is looking for special talents on certain areas. Don't be discourage by DSA, instead, chiong for PSLE. Wish your DD the very best for her PSLE and get into her dream school. :snuggles:

          Good headache you have there.
One is fish and chips, the other is xiao long bao.
One is Angelina Jolie, the other is Gong Li.
Depends on your DD and what culture you want your DD to be immersed.
It's subjective, you go read the two school threads plus another thread RGS vs NYGH ...all the best to a wise decision. :boogie:

hahaha, snow Crystal, what an illustration. there is another thread comparing both schools. Oh yes, found it:

DD got co from Cedar but rejected by NYGH. DD says she may drop the offer from cedar and pursuit the PSLE route to NYGH. I am against the idea as in the end may end up δΈ€ζ— ζ‰€ζœ‰. Any opinions from all ksp.?

Trust your DD, if she thinks she can, then believe that she will!

Not a difficult choice for dd coz she's accepted by rgs and unsuccessful with nygh.

The first case I ever heard of. But both are good schools. Congrats!

You need to decide. We faced a similar situation last year. She got CO from another very good school B but my girl's heart was set on going to school A. Finally we didnt take up the CO and waited for PSLE since I felt she had performed well (just felt but not sure). She got into school A.

                :rahrah: :rahrah: Well Done!!!

                  Snow Crystal,
I like this : One is Angelina Jolie, the other is Gong Li.
So for RI & HCI, it'll be :
One is Tom Cruise, the other is Jet Li. πŸ˜„[/quote]Oh my, the list will go on....

I believe your DD has good chance! Many DD have both CO, sure, some will give up one, your chance is high!!! Pray, Pray!!

                      Hi cluelessmama,

My DD in similar shoes as yours. A bit perplexed :? because her results are quite good, and she did not think she said anything wrongly during the interview.

Anyway we are still happy, because I had always wanted her to go RGS. :imcool:

I look at it as \"divine intervention\" - My dd has always been a \"fish n chips\"(sorry snow crystal, I am stealing your line) cum grilled salmon girl rather than a xiao long bao girl. Almost everyone whom I know says that she might eventually land in rgs. It was only after the gep fiesta that she became interested in nanyang. Her reason? - that's a place where she can improve her command of chinese language.

Throughout the whole dsa process, she has told me on several occasions that she would choose nanyang if they accepted her. Actually, I have been quitely worried that she might not fit into nanyang. This is because even she herself has said that her personality and profile are better fits for rgs than nanyang. So with this outcome, at least I can lay fear to rest.

Agree with you that the outcome is a little perplexing. Based on what she told me about the interview, I thought she was quite ok. Perhaps from the interview, they could see the initial \"rgs\" etched on her forehead :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
