When will MGS send out DSA results?mamakata:
When I went to the MGS open day, was informed that the DSA-IP will take only up to 30 girls as the total IP size is only 60. Forgot to ask at SCGS - anybody knows?
For all the IP programmes at the full schools, I believe the affiliated primary school girls have to compete for the places the same as non-affiliated girls. They only get preference (ie lower COP) for the O-level track.
Heard from one of the staff that they will send out mail tomorrow. -

Then that should be around 90-100 places.
SNGS informed me that they could admit up to 3 classes for IP. -

\\SCGS sec is an independent school.
It is offering 100 places for its ip track. As to many for dsa, I don't hv the numbers.
Then it's up to SCGS since they are independent. The other independent schools like RI can take in more under DSA if they so wish. -
:congrats: to all who has received CO / WL from SCGS and DHS.
Praise the Lord! -

If I'm not mistaken, IP schools can now offer DSA up to 50% of their intake.
I guess schools like SNGS, CHS & SCGS are still bound by the rule of 10% of their maximum vacancy level then. Which in this case is 30. So this \"rule\" has not been allowed to be relaxed by MOE even with introduction of IP. These 3 schools have to abide by this ruling bc they are not independent schools, unlike RI, etc. Oh well. No wonder CHS for eg. Only opened DSA for sports & IP and closed up all the previous DSA domains (via other CCA). Bc they cannot offer that many places. All along 30 places for DSA, now STILL 30 places.
phttph ----> for IP DSA, they don't look to see whether from affiliated. Whoever is worthy is the key. They don't *reserve* for affiliated at all during DSA. -

That's what I'd heard too. That's why I assumed SNGS would be offering a similar number too. Quite surprised to hear that SNGS is offering 200 IP places while SCGS is offering only 100.SCGS sec is an independent school.

SNGS 200??? that would be nearly it's entire intake for one year already. -

The post from earlier today:

6 IP classes 5 o level. I spoke to the Sch on 15/8 n was told they can take up to 3 classes and that they have not reached the maximum and are not \" picky\". Looks like there's a change of heartg2:

The SNGS intake for IP is probably <100? Or maybe <80 (ie two classes worth). So COs of about 30 is not too far off from 50% of 80 or 100 vacancies.
No the IP classes n O level classes about half half , about 190 for each side . So if half the intake from DSA the number of vacancies should be around 90 plus ....so the actual no of places offered was way too low[/quote] -

Called, the lady answered: she doesn't have the listing on-hands, we have to wait for letter, expecting tomorrow or Saturday.
Another mom whom I know is waiting for NJC's result, called to check and was told the COs and NOs (No Offer) have just been posted out this afternoon. Good luck!kiasumeme:
