So disappointed to hear that the sch only have offered such a limited vacancies (less than 30) . The DSA process for SNGS is really tedious.
Received the rejection letter from SNGS. My dd had her interview on 15/8 which was on the eve of PSLE oral. I called to reschedule the interview to a later date but was told that they could not schedule anything beyond that week as there is a stipulated time frame fr moe for the DSA process. But from earlier posts, interviews were conducted early this week. If we had been informed of the limited vacancies, we may reconsider attending the interview session. -

Dear g2,my DD also had her interview on 15 Aug just one day before the PSLE oral. Among DD's friends who applied for SNGS DSA IP, only a handful were shortlisted. So I guess it's quite a big disappointment to find out that only less than 30 of the 90 plus IP places (50% of the expected no. for the IP cohort next yr) were offered . I thought that the school should have given out more provisional offers if they were indeed worried about how well the students would do in their PSLE -

I guess schools like SNGS, CHS & SCGS are still bound by the rule of 10% of their maximum vacancy level then. Which in this case is 30. So this \"rule\" has not been allowed to be relaxed by MOE even with introduction of IP. These 3 schools have to abide by this ruling bc they are not independent schools, unlike RI, etc. Oh well. No wonder CHS for eg. Only opened DSA for sports & IP and closed up all the previous DSA domains (via other CCA). Bc they cannot offer that many places. All along 30 places for DSA, now STILL 30 places.

i)
out of 30 -
how many allocated to SNGS own affliated primary girls, how many to outsiders ?
ii)
how many seats from SCGS DSA - also less than 30 ?
how many allocated to SCGS own affliated primary school girls first ?
iii)
how many seats from MGS DSA ?
how many allocated to MGS own affliated primary school girls first ?
phttph ----> for IP DSA, they don't look to see whether from affiliated. Whoever is worthy is the key. They don't *reserve* for affiliated at all during DSA.
