If I'm not mistaken, IP schools can now offer DSA up to 50% of their intake.

Ya, 50% is what the norm is....but for last yr, i read NJC offered way way below 50%, right?
      i remember a rather low figure. what 's abt this yr ? any1 ?

Yes, last year they didn't offer that many COs. This year's results haven't been released yet.

SNGS informed me that they could admit up to 3 classes for IP.

Then that should be around 90-100 places.

SNGS has 6 classes for the IP programme n they can admit up to 50% through DSA. However the school chose to admit only less than 30 or less than one third of the available places. It was solely the school's decision and discretion.
SCGS sec is an independent school.

It is offering 100 places for its ip track. As to many for dsa, I don't hv the numbers.

That's what I'd heard too. That's why I assumed SNGS would be offering a similar number too. Quite surprised to hear that SNGS is offering 200 IP places while SCGS is offering only 100.

SNGS 200??? that would be nearly it's entire intake for one year already.
SNGS will hv around 190 places for its IP programme and about the same number of places for its O level programme . So since they hv offered only less than 30 places out of 190 available places through the DSA exercise, looking on the bright side, those who did not get the COs have quite a high chance of filling up the remaining 160 or so places in the IP programme ....so Jia you to all our DDs!

Am I correct to say that with more places available at S1 posting stage, we can expect a lower COP?

I don't think so, the COP for the IP would still be 250

So this means two WL but from past years should be as good as CO as those holding CO from RGS may give up their space on NYGH.

If not wrong, last year's lowest COP for IP school is RV at 254. So 250 is considered low for IP...cedar o level was 249 last yr?

I also think that 250 is bit low for COP for IP. IP is generally meant for top ~7% of the cohort and 250 is the T score for the top 10%.

The IP is not meant to be an elite prog that’s what the SNGS principal said . Both the IP track n the O level tracks hv their own merits n cater to diff learning styles
