Right. my kids' school does not provide such training. hence never even think about them dsa via Maths domain cos i know they have no chance, even though they are pretty good in math. alternatively i could have forked out lots of money to let them go for pte training .... but then, they have no time either.

most schools' training for smops are inadequate, even for those in the AMEC group ....

there is always someone richer than the next boy and could afford anything under the sun ....

The coming CL camp at HCI on 19-20/5/2012 is the one they use to select candidates for DSA next year is it ?


DS2 got nominated by his school to go but decided against it.

Anyway HCI not his cup of tea…

why not his cup of tea? Since nominated, just go & see how it's like. Don't close the door so soon mah. My DS going for HCI Science camp on 18-19/5/2012. He said just go there, enjoy & see see look look.

btw, for those who are interested to go for HCI open house, I've gotten reply from HCI for Parents' Symposium :

\"There are 2 similar parents' symposium, one at 0900-1030 and another at 1100-1230. The Principal will not be the key speaker for the sessions, but he will be chairing a Q and A session at the end of the speech with a panel of key appointment holders from our school.\"

Can he still go? The CL camp should be fun. Doesn't matter if he doesn't intend to go HCI.
