The coming CL camp at HCI on 19-20/5/2012 is the one they use to select candidates for DSA next year is it ?

DS2 got nominated by his school to go but decided against it.

Anyway HCI not his cup of tea........
Can he still go? The CL camp should be fun. Doesn't matter if he doesn't intend to go HCI.

Hi! What are these HCI Science and CL camps about? How do I get info on these camps?

You may check with your school as it is given via kids' school. Is your child P6?

My son got platinum in SMOPS.

He is top in his school.
He also have a lot of awards and stuff and he is the head prefect.
Does he secure a place in RI DSA?

Very good chance ... But there again you need to ask RI interviewers .. πŸ˜‰

I think if any of the boys have been identified by MOE to attend the Talent Development camp in RI in their P5 year, there is very high chance of getting DSA CO from RI even if they are mainstream boys.

Last year, he went to HCI for another Science camp as well. According to the teachers, they 've invited quite a number of schools for P6 Science camp & the top 20% will be selected. The teachers told the students that they hope to see the same group again this year. So I think they'll have a few workshops.

Yours is highly competitive. Just apply for RI and treat it as an experience. outcome totally not important as he will get in thru psle anyway.
