Just to share. For those who are going for Hwa Chong's Parent Symposium on 20th Oct, Sat, I've confirmed with HCI that the kid can tag along.

Thanks Yukilei! I definitely need to bring him along as no one is at home with him that day.

You're welcome. Same here, I need to bring DS too. Beside, I think it's good for him to hear from \"horse mouth\" on how the life will be like. But DS said they probably will be introduced abt HCI during the camp on 17 & 18th.

:?: Can someone provide me more details on the MEP (Music Elective Program) in Secondary School. How frequent is the lesson per week and whether is it easy to pass or stressful?

Thanks but I mean COP for IP programme. The one linked is for express stream.

Some of the listed schools are all IP (eg: RGS).

Thanks. I called up st nicks today. I was so frustrated at the remarks made by the admin. She says that there will be no indication of cut off point for ip programme. And even if she knows, she won't tell me. I told her that parents like us needs to made certain decisions for planning during the school selection process. If no indication, how to make decision. She says its up to the school to decide wat is the cut off point for ip. I further explained that cedar girls did indicate 258 as cut off. She days that is their way of doing things and st nicks has different style. I am too confused and frustrated at her remarks and I cut the conversation. Buay ta Han.

Is this not their first s1 for IP?

I think no way they would commit any cop, even if indicative. Sekali people get scared off n then their prog appears to be not popular.

I think 1st ip. Agree with u, that they don’t want to indicate any cop, but at least shld give some indicative range lah. Very kiasi in this case.

St nicks is a very good school. The demand to enrol will be high no doubt.

I would think it should be around same as cedar, maybe a bit higher if more of their affiliated students with high t score choose to stay on.

If their express cut off is 249, then for ip it's ard cedar standard. Any points higher will be nygh or RGS Liao.

The prev yrs COP of cedar n st nic are quite close. So won’t be surprise it’ll be close for their IP too.

But st nic may be able to retain their top students from their pri school n also attract top catholic students who wish to stay in the family, their could be higher. Also, since the tops students will be spread over to newer ip schools, we may perhaps see some drop for the prev top schools.

Anyway, if u r interested, just put it as yr higher choice.
